Artist Bio
Anna was born on June 4th, 1984 in Warsaw, Poland to a family of artists.
Throughout her education she has completed several programs and specialized degrees in art and fashion design:
- Graduated from Tadeusz Boy Żeleński High School - a division of the Maria Bratkowska Clothing Vocational School Complex in Warsaw with a fashion design track. (2006)
- Bachelor's degree in Film and Stage Makeup at Warsaw School of Arts. (2008)
- Graduate degree at Warsaw School of Arts in the Costume and Stage Prop Design Studio led by professor Andrzej Łubowski. She defended her thesis in Painting under Professor Błażej Ostoja-Lniski. (2010)
- Master's degree in fine arts at the Academy of Film, Art and Design in Łódź, Poland with a major in Creative Costume Design under professor Monika Kanios-Stańczyk. (2012)
- Post-graduate degree in pedagogy at the College of Social Studies in Łódź (UNS) with a major in art therapy under professor Marcin Siejda. (2014)
Anna is also an avid B&W photographer and traveler.
Her richly mixed media works with an unconventional approach to form appeared in a number of both solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
She combines her creative drive with her educational calling. Anna teaches workshops and courses in painting, drawing, fashion design, stage costume design, art history, fashion design history, and tailoring. In 2012 she founded the SUE ANNE ART STUDIO which in the past decade has served the local community and students of all ages and backgrounds. It has also attracted students from throughout the Warsaw area and other locations in Poland. She also teaches academic-level courses and high school art classes.
Anna is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, the Friends of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and The Society for Encouragement of the Arts “Zachęta” in Warsaw.
