In September we explore the theme of harmony and diversity. This group show serves as a reminder that unity does not require homogeneity; instead, true harmony emerges from the acknowledgment and celebration of diversity. By bringing together various artistic styles, subject matters and expressions, this group show not only celebrates the richness of individual creativity, but also highlights the collective strength that emerges when different voices harmonize. In “Harmony & Diversity” the selected 68 artists illustrate the power of unity in embracing differences.
During our August group show last year, we featured an open theme that resonated deeply with our artists, leading to the display of truly inspiring artworks on our platform and in NYC. We are very excited to give the floor to our artists this August once again! ”Freestyle” means that there are no limitations on the theme, style or technique so the purpose of this online group exhibition is to showcase the absolute best artworks that the chosen 69 artists have to offer.

Within the realm of art, time ceases to exist as a linear progression. Instead, it becomes an impression, allowing artists to freeze a single moment or a thing, preserving it in all its glory. In our mesmerizing “Moments” group art show, the selected 65 artists showcase those instances that have left an indelible mark on their art practice and their lives. It is through their various artistic expressions that we get to witness the power of art to immortalize fleeting moments of significance. From ordinary everyday objects that mean so much to them, the joy of a shared laugh with friends and family, the silent solitude of a sunrise, and the complex emotions woven into the fabric of human existence and psychology. This art show is a celebration of the extraordinary concealed within the familiar, a reminder that within each moment lies boundless inspiration, contemplation, and wonder.
As a way to welcome the arrival of Spring, our May group art show ”May Flowers” celebrates flowers, their beauty, and rich historical significance in various cultures worldwide. Throughout history, humans have used flowers to communicate their emotions and to commemorate various occasions. The beauty and fleeting nature of flowers and the diverse cultural associations and symbolism attached to them have served as an inspiration to many great artists from Vincent Van Gogh to Maria Sibylla Merian. In this group show the selected 55 artists showcase how flowers have remained an emblem of beauty and significance in both art and human culture over the ages.
As we immerse ourselves in the beauty and depth of artistic expression, this theme serves as a medium for our artists to express the deep connections they have with their artworks. Beneath our diverse experiences, cultures, and backgrounds, we all share a common longing for connection. Our selected 58 artists open a captivating window into the intimate relationships they have with their work, with other people, with their environment, and with their inner selves. In a world often filled with division and isolation, ”Connections” group show is meant to be a poignant exploration of the power of human connection through the universal language of art.
Ever since it made its grand entrance on the popular culture stage thanks to the US punk band Bikini Kill, the term “Girl Power” has steadfastly held its position as a significant (political) catchphrase. “Girl Power” gained more prominence in pop culture after it was embraced by the British pop band the Spice Girls in the late 90’s, transforming it into a significant and appealing slogan. The meaning of ”Girl Power” is a self-reliant attitude among people in ambition, assertiveness, and individualism. In this art show, we pay homage to the voices and the stories woven by women across generations. It is a tribute to the transformations, the triumphs, and the unity that can arise when women unapologetically embrace their individuality and their stories. The selected 60 artists display the diversity and multicultural experiences and perspectives of women.
Self-expression and personal narratives are the topics of our February group show. Many artists’ art practice has always been centered around creating a multifaceted portrait of the human experience, which emphasizes both the similarities and differences between all of us, therefore artists are contributing to an open and inclusive dialogue about self-expression, narrative, and identity, making this group show “Piece of Me” not only a celebration of creativity but also a celebration of humanity. In this show the juried 83 artists express themselves authentically adding plenty of richness to the show.
Throughout art history, layers have been more than just a visual element; they embody depth, complexity, and hidden narratives waiting to be uncovered. Whether it be a physical layer (different textures or materials), an emotional layer (depicting different emotional states or experiences), a cultural or historical layer (exploring different traditions, narratives, or customs), or even a societal layer (examining different ideologies, social constructs, or political systems). “Unveiling the Layers” is a show where 50 artists peel back the layers and showcase the depth and complexity within their artworks.
It’s time to Rewind and Reveal! Once again we are doing a show that is all about reflecting on the last year and revisiting artworks our artists have created. For artists, anything and everything can be a source of inspiration. In this group show the selected 64 artists celebrate the people, things, and moments that made their 2023 so special.
As November is one of the darkest months of the year, we have created a group show showcasing artworks from 73 artists who dare to dream in color. For many artists, color is one of the most important elements of their art practice and this group show celebrates their unique interpretations of color and vibrant subject matters.
These are the phrases we use to convey how joyful our lives are.
Artists have always enjoyed creating artworks that portray their ideal ways of living or things that bring them joy. They wish to capture the essence of enjoying life’s sweet moments from savoring a decadent dessert to falling in love. Not only do artists like to show people things that bring them joy, but many of the HMVC Gallery alumni artists like to use art as a source of happiness and enjoyment.
In our October group show ”The Sweet Life” 68 artists celebrate all the things that make their lives sweet and joyful.
In our 1-year anniversary show, we wanted to look at the things that have influenced our 102 participating artists and their art.
Probably the most common question artists get asked is: “What inspired you to make this artwork?”.
Throughout history artists have been inspired by their experiences, the environment around them, their culture, politics, and imagination. As the concept of art and creating art developed over time, artists began to be inspired by other artists and their art styles. Each artist has their own individual perspective, style, and creative vision resulting in art that is deeply personal to them.
So we can conclude that an artist’s influence is as subjective as art itself.
For the first time we are now giving the floor to our artists. ”Freestyle” for us means that there are no limitations on the theme, style or technique. Featuring 118 artists this online group show is all about their freedom of expression!

In old English, the word ”home” refers to a town or a place where many souls gather.
The modern definition of home states that home is “the abiding place of the affections” which perfectly sums up how most people today regard their homes.
When we are born, our first impression of home is the place our parents made for us.
As we grow and leave that home, we start to build our own ideas of what home is. The majority of us end up building a home that is very different from the one we started our life journey in, whether it be a new apartment, house, town, or community.
Artists have a long history of documenting the places they call home. Claude Monet painted the gardens at his Giverny home, Helene Schjerfbeck painted family members and events that took place in her home, and Andy Warhol photographed his studio ”the factory” in New York City. So we can conclude that the concept of home is universal, in the end, we end up creating a home that is unique to us.
In our June online group art show the 46 selected artworks depict the concept of homes.
Boldness and experimentation with color are used to describe Abstract art as it is free from the rules of traditional form-focused art practices. Abstract art’s key elements are the symbolic function of color, the rhythm of forms, and their independence from a subject, resulting in the artist having complete autonomy to express their emotions and showcase their artistic abilities without restrictions. With these words, we’d like to give you this Abstract group show featuring the following 83 artists.
While ”Flower Power” was a slogan used by Hippies opposing the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 70s America, we use it to celebrate Flowers & Art in our April online group art show. Throughout history, humans have used flowers to communicate their emotions and to commemorate various occasions. Flowers have a lot of historical significance across the globe and we are delighted to welcome the arrival of Spring with this group show featuring 108 artists.
Throughout history and across the globe, women were often seen as the embodiment of good virtue, nurture, care, and compassion.

In art, Women have been one of the most popular subjects for artists since the Prehistoric period and now in our March Online Group Art Show, 89 artists showcase artworks that depict Women.
In our February group art show, we celebrate the color Pink. Since its invention, Pink has most often been associated with youth, sweetness, and femininity.
