Artist Bio

Nicole Martinelli is an artist and a Photographer originally from the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She currently resides in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area where she finds inspiration in the surrounding mountains and rural areas for her latest creations.

Nicole Martinelli was originally a painter who began receiving attention with her original medium, oil painting, The Artist would previously use photography strictly for reference material. After physical illness made it difficult for the artist to paint she discovered solace and comfort in nature and began expressing herself artistically through photography. Upon the artist regaining her health and submitting her photography on a whim to national and international juried art exhibitions and being accepted, she quickly realized her photography is also a talent and gift that must be shared with the world!

The vibrant colors she incorporates in both her paintings and photographs are inspired by the intense and captivating emotions she experiences upon first encountering the subject matter and surroundings that inspire her artworks.

Over the past few years, Nicole Martinelli has expanded her artistic portfolio and explored new mediums into previous unchartered creative territories including the creation of hand-painted E-paintings using a stylus.

The Artist's photographs and organically crafted hand-painted E-paintings have been showcased in various prestigious group exhibitions at renowned fine art galleries across the United States, including The Marblehead Arts Association Gallery in Marble Head, Massachusetts, the Kavanaugh Gallery, Illinois MVA Gallery Bethlehem PA, BWAC Gallery Brooklyn New York and, CORE Art Space in Denver Colorado among others.
