Artist Bio
Michele Bourdeau has practiced at the Art Student League in New York. She is trained as a scientist and has always been intrigued by sculpture and creating forms out of raw materials. She started working with terracotta, which allows for rough textures. More recently, she uses plasticine, which can easily be reworked at will. Her sculptures are then generally cast into bonded bronze or bronze. Her work has been recognized in a number of juried shows and has sold to private collections.
