Artist Bio
Lena Kardash was born and raised in the foothills of Altai, in a small town. During her life, she carried out a large number of successful and socially significant projects in the field of design and education, while she always had a parallel life alone with canvas and paints.
At that time, those around her did not approve of the idea of a girl from a good family studying at an art school, so Lena entered the architecture department of the Tomsk Civil Engineering Institute in Russia, one of the few offering a higher education that allowed her to be creative.
After graduating from school, the talented girl was invited to teach at the faculty. This is how her career in education began. Creativity entered her life through her own architectural and design studio, projects, and work with students.
Today Lena has devoted herself entirely to painting. Her experience as an architect and designer helps the artist understand art as a project that includes space and the complex interweaving of stories of her personal life and the world around her.
Today her works are in private collections in Russia, Austria, and Spain.
