Artist Bio

Born in Iran, I left for college on the cusp of the Iranian Revolution to the United States when I was 18 years old. I received my B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College in Northampton, MA. During my tenure at Smith, I focused mainly on painting, design, and color theory. After earning my degree from Smith, I left for France and lived in Paris for a few years during which I took courses at the Ecole du Louvre and Sorbonne.

I eventually moved back to the US and settled in the Washington DC area. I worked in different entrepreneurial capacities. Once my children were older and had left for college, I started working professionally on my art. I established my studio and started receiving commissions. I began exhibiting both solo and in group shows.
