Artist Bio
Chris Bunz is an artist. What kind of artist? All kinds.
She started as an Art Director in NY and worked for ad agencies like
Ogilvy, Scali McCabe Slove, BBDO, and Benton & Bowles among others.
At the same time, she taught at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons
one day a week as an adjunct instructor. She also made ceramic sculptures in her spare time.
Then she morphed into a Motion Graphics Designer and Animator, through the magic of computers. She created the graphics for the Adam Smith show on PBS Channel 13, in NY. In 1997 she moved across the country to the West Coast to Hollywood land. Here she made lots of Paintbox graphics for TV News like KCAL9, KCBS2, and KTLA5. She put in a year at Entertainment Tonight creating animated graphics and flying titles on the Mac. She also worked for many documentary filmmakers and television shows.
Now she paints and sculpts in her studio at The Alameda Art Works in San Jose using all kinds of interesting recycled materials. In short, she doesn’t make any boring, predictable stuff to match anyone‘s sofa.
Chris still keeps her hand in motion graphics and animation for a few old
clients like P&P Studios on the East Coast.
