Artist Bio
Deborah Zavon lives and works in New York. She earned a BA at New York University College of Arts and Sciences. She studied with various prominent artists at NYU, The New School, Visual Arts, The New York Academy of Art, the National Academy of Design, and the Arts Students League, where she is a life member. Her work has been shown in print, including in the Art Students League catalog, and in virtual and physical galleries and various other venues, and is held in private collections. Physical venues include the Gedelsky Gallery, MD, Manhattan Borough President’s Office, Art Students League Red Dot shows, Postcards from the Edge, Shelley’s New York, Gensler Portrait Exhibit, etc. Virtual sites include the Art Students League, Allied Artists of America, Morgan Library Portrait Competition, LIC Artists Organization, and J. Mane Gallery: honorable mentions, Bronze awards; Grey Cube Gallery: merit award, honorable mentions. She has been presented with several additional awards and commendations over the years.
