Artist Bio
A mostly self-taught artist, Kimmy was heavily influenced by a single art professor in college, San Francisco Bay Area artist Frank Lobdell. It was through his teaching style that she realized the freedom of expression available through art and particularly through painting. With the simple words Keep painting and no other critique, Lobdell's encouragement has kept her painting through her adult life. Her art does not fit just one category, as she has a strong dislike for “boxing” and was drawn to painting as a place of freedom.
