Stevie Elphick
Artist Bio
Stevie Elphick is a Canadian visual artist based in Mexico City. Her work explores the intersection of architecture, colour and design through bold, contemporary acrylic paintings.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, Elphick studied Graphic Communications Management at Ryerson University in Toronto before graduating in Entrepreneurship from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver. She exhibited and completed private and commercial commissions early in her artistic career before pursuing a career in real estate.
In 2026, a move to Mexico City inspired her return to a dedicated painting practice. Surrounded by the city’s colourful architecture, tropical vegetation and dramatic light, she developed Places & Spaces, an ongoing series of imagined architectural environments.
Her paintings combine simplified geometric forms, saturated colour, strong shadows and dimensional botanical elements. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern design, interiors and architecture, Elphick creates playful yet restrained compositions that evoke nostalgia, optimism and a sense of escape.
Her work has been selected for the 2026 Sala Marte × Casa de la Amistad charity art auction in Mexico City.
