Lisa DeLoria Weinblatt
Artist Bio
Lisa DeLoria Weinblatt, a native New Yorker, received her M.F.A. at the School of Visual Arts, NYC. She earned her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, Art Department Honors, at Queens College/CUNY. Lisa has been awarded six national Artist-In-Residence Scholarships and has received a New York City Artist Corp Grant in September 2021. She has also been the recipient of NYC Public Arts Grant, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the National Humanities.
Weinblatt’s exhibitions include the NYC Armory Show, with recent solo exhibitions at Waterworks Art Center/ Museum, NC, Karpeles Museum, NY, Morris Graves Museum, CA, Delaplaine Art Center, MD, Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, PA, Judy Black Memorial Gallery /Gardens, CT. Lisa’s solo exhibitions include a yearlong exhibition at Central Piedmont College, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake Art Center, MD, Oxford Art Center, PA, and Goggleworks Art Center, Reading, PA. SCHOOL LUNCH is currently published in the Northeast issue of “New American Painting”, juried by Amy Sherald. Weinblatt was published in the University of Baltimore’s journal “Welter”, Spring 2024, and is in the January 2025 issue of ‘The Pasticheur,’ Dickinson College, PA. Weinblatt digitally exhibited SL20 in Times Square, NYC, with NYC ArtWalk. Weinblatt has exhibited in over 100 group shows including Arkell Museum, NY, Albany Airport, NY Katonah Museum, NY, Mint Museum, NC, Masur Museum, LA, Eric Sloan Museum, CT, Columbia/Barnard University, NYC Manhattanville College, NY, Karpeles Museum, NY, Hunter Museum of Art, TN, Attleboro Museum, MA and currently in Monmouth Museum, NJ, National 2025, Arnot Museum, NY “ National”, Morris Museum, NJ. She was awarded ‘Best In Show ” by Claire Davies, Assistant Curator, Modern & Contemporary Painting, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, in Flinn Gallery’s ‘Inner Visions”. Weinblatt exhibited in the Bendheim Exhibition in Greenwich, CT, juried by Ramsey Kolber, Guggenheim Museum, NY, May/June 2024.
Weinblatt has two solo exhibitions in April 2025 at the Woodbury Library, CT, 4/25, and the Cuneen-Hackett Art Center, NY, September/October 2025.
Lisa was recently in four museum exhibitions – Leonardo Museum, Salt Lake City, UT, Long Island Museum, NY, Edward Hopper House Museum, NY, and a commissioned artwork in the Putnam History Museum, currently at the Southeast Museum, Brewster, NY, and is exhibiting at the Hill-Stead Museum, CT this summer. She recently exhibited at the Wayne Art Center, PA, ‘Thrive: Beyond Surviving”, Taber Gallery, Holyoke Community College, MA, and Limner Gallery, NY ‘Great American Nudes”.
Lisa has been awarded the Grumbacher Gold Medal for Painting. The Nabisco Corporation Gallery, NJ has twice featured SCHOOL LUNCH, both on the announcements for and in exhibition of ‘Faces of America: Celebrating Diversity & Multi-Culturalism for Black History Month”. Weinblatt exhibited selections from SCHOOL LUNCH in the MVvo Ad Art Show on the Westfield Screen, Oculus, World Trade Center, NYC. She had selections digitally displayed on a billboard in Times Square, NYC with NYC ArtWalk.
