Janai-Ami

Artist Bio

A primitive, Janai-Ami began painting post-9/11. She is known for her extraordinary use of color and the palpable movement throughout her work. Her work is included in important Museum, Corporate, Government & Private Collections on four continents and has appeared at the National Art Center and the Metropolitan Art Museum in Japan, the Nagasaki Art Museum’s 80th Memorial Exhibit, the Los Angeles Museum of Tolerance, to name just a few. After a short hiatus, she returned to accolades in the West, winning 2nd Place and People’s Choice Awards in Wyoming State contests and 1st Place and Best of Show in Utah. She is considered by many this Generation’s O’Keefe.
