Jacqui Hart

Artist Bio

Jacqui Hart is a New Zealand oil painter whose practice is rooted in a deep sense of calling and reverence for the created world. For her, art is both sanctuary and vocation - a way to connect with the beauty woven into creation and a place to find solace, purpose, and joy. A self‑taught artist, Jacqui’s development has been shaped by her admiration for the Old Masters, the Pre‑Raphaelites, and the teachings of American realist Mark Carder. These influences inform her commitment to Classical Realism and continue to challenge and inspire her approach.

Working in oils, Jacqui’s subjects have ranged from vibrant native NZ birds to portraiture and, currently, to lush New Zealand florals, which are thoughtful, elegant, and quietly captivating. Through each brushstroke, Jacqui invites viewers into moments of stillness and wonder - opportunities to notice the beauty present in everyday life. Her work reflects a desire to celebrate creation and to steward her God‑given gifts with gratitude and intention.
