Artist Bio

As a photographer/digital artist living in the Coachella Valley (originally from Malaysia & Canada), I enjoy capturing snapshots of nature, architecture, and socio-culture that express a realistic representation of natural beauty, identity, and diversity from my perspective while conjuring up deep emotional, mental, and spiritual connections.

Exploring modernistic contemporary photographic art has allowed me to combine my photography with digital techniques to go beyond the traditional form. I love experimenting with lighting, exposure, tone, angle, texture, and scale to highlight unique features and natural vibrancy from a raw subject capture to a refreshed art form. As I develop my craft, I also aim to broaden my photography to include abstraction and even surrealism while preserving a photographic eye.

My photographic artwork has received multiple awards in both national and internationally-juried exhibitions, online & book publications in, (and a TV newscast with KESQ in Palm Springs), US, Canada, Germany, and France (Paris), and Hungary (Budapest), including a “Winner” and “Finalist” in the Budapest ArtBIAS 2 International Exhibition (June 2024); 1st Place “People’s choice” award with Desert Art Center (Nov. 2024); Finalist Award: Blue Space's "Representation v. Abstraction - 2024”, June - July 2024: “Best in Show” (2023) & “Exhibition Finalist” awards (2024, June 2025) at Fusion Art, two “Bronze Award”s & “Artist of the Month: (Oct & July 2023) with Camelback Gallery, and multiple “Honorable Mention”, “Special Merits” and “Recognitions” awards in 2023 and 2024 with Light Space & Time, Teravarna galleries). Locally, I have exhibited at the Artists Council Center, Palm Desert; Desert Open Studios 2024, 2025); Desert Art Center, Palm Springs; and currently with the Living Out Palm Springs Art Project. My publications include “60 Artistes Du Mouvement Art Resilience,” France, and “Fictional Narrative,” Decagon Gallery, New York.
