Artist Bio
Cindy Shechter is a painter and photographer with advanced degrees in art who has taught art on all levels in the NYC Public Schools, where she was a teacher and mentor to Jean Michel Basquiat. She has worked as a greeting card designer, created centerpieces and backdrops for the Special Events Industry, and worked as a Mural Painter in commercial and private locations.
She is currently focusing her time on painting in her abstract expressionist style on canvas. In addition, through photography, she explores the beauty and abstract qualities of nature. Cindy exhibits and has work in private locations.
