Leombruni is a Connecticut-based painter whose work explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of human experience through a lens of expressive realism. Janet Leombruni is President Emeritus of CT Women Artists. She is an Elected Member of the CT Academy of Fine Art, New Haven Paint &Clay, West Hartford Art League, and her work is part of multiple collections in the US and Europe.

In my work, I tell the stories of my experiences in the classroom. I also explore relationships, sometimes utilizing tropes or idioms in the form of children’s literature, myths, films, or portray stories as told to me by my students. I like to examine themes of hope, impulsivity, family, fantasy, innocence, and coming of age. My colors are powerful. Figures often occupy charged, ambiguous spaces, where gesture, symbolism, and narrative intersect to reveal underlying tensions between individuals and their environments. I seek to draw the viewer in, to elicit an emotional response. I like to ask the viewer to determine: What is really going on here?

Born in Copenhagen on November 5, 1973, Jasper is an artist who trained herself from the ground up. As a child, Jasper felt the liberation and delight of creating art. He had experience as both a carpenter and a construction architect. He had returned to painting as an expressive, enjoyable, and freeing activity. He became more well-known for his work in 2018 after joining an art club. Shapes and colors represent my aspirations, fears, and inner monologues. Instead of praising achievements, I highlight qualities like sweetness, honesty, empathy, and love. My life story is incomplete without love. I came from a world where men are wicked, egotistical, stupid, harsh, and dishonest. Because of them, I transitioned from being a happy, loving person to developing a mental disorder and experiencing feelings of social anxiety and frustration. From a young age forward, this occurrence made me afraid of women. For males, having sex with women is the ultimate fulfillment of their dreams. When love is absent, jealousy and malicious intentions flourish.

I hope that individuals might become more honest, authentic, accepting, loving, and courageous by seeing the parallels between fake looks, living masks, being oneself, and cool performances. The tribal way of life is quite like the loving way of life, yet love promotes harmony, peace, and happiness, and my goal is to bring these things together somehow. I promote liberation, simplicity, tolerance, calm, self-expression, and a love revolution through the iconography of Indigenous people and my sweet, loving artwork. I banish evil and fear, paving the way for love, harmony, and peace so that people are happy and fulfilled in every aspect of their lives.

My dreams and the fantastical world of my imagination serve as the sources of my inspiration. I enjoy capturing the essence of my playful view of the world and transforming it into fun photographic compositions that are both captivating and thought-provoking. I invite the viewer to explore the depths of their imagination and to embrace the surreal and magical aspects of life. I aim to produce magical, enchanted, and wonder-filled images that take viewers to a realm where anything is conceivable.

I find deep joy in creating art with my hands, using creativity as a way to connect cultures and share stories beyond language.

While studying Chinese in China, I discovered the art of sand painting, a moment that became a turning point in my artistic journey. In 2019, I was honored to receive a Top 10 Award at the Silk Road International Sand Painting Competition. This recognition opened opportunities for me to present my work at cultural events, including the Thai Festival at the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing and the International Student Festival at my university. Through sand painting, I was able to share Thai culture while embracing cross-cultural exchange, an experience that was later featured by Chinese media.

More recently, a Chinese article documented my artistic journey and described my role as a bridge connecting Eastern and Western cultures. I was deeply grateful and proud to be seen in this way, as I believe everyone can serve as a cultural ambassador for their country.

I also believe that each person can help protect the environment through meaningful actions. This belief inspired me to transform discarded cans into artworks, turning what is considered useless into something meaningful.

For me, recycling is not only an act of love for the Earth, but also a powerful form of artistic expression.

My husband, a lover of energy drinks, often left empty cans behind. Instead of discarding them, I searched for a way to give these overlooked objects new life, which led to the creation of what I call “can decoration art.”

The process is challenging. Each can must be carefully cut into small pieces and assembled one by one. Even more demanding is imagining and designing each section so that every detail has its own unique character while still maintaining harmony in color, despite the limited patterns and shades available on the cans.

I am grateful to have exhibited my work at several art events, including the Art Exhibition in Pasadena (February 2025), the 58th Annual Newport Beach Art Exhibition (June 2025), and the 1st Thai Community of Fine Art Exhibition in Thai Town, Los Angeles (August 2025).

One of my artworks was selected to be featured in the Canadian art magazine Artistonish (October 2025), and another artwork was showcased in the Canadian online exhibition Unity 2025, organized by Gallerium.art (November 2025). I am also honored to have been selected as one of the artists for the Biafarin Awards 2025, held in December 2025.

The greatest joy comes from designing intricate details and hearing viewers say they never imagined cans could become such unique artworks. It fills me with great pride and happiness.

As an artist, I have chosen abstraction as my expressive language, pouring my creative energy into acrylic and mixed media works. My process is a constant evolution, fueled by an insatiable curiosity for all things textural, sculptural, and organic. Drawing and composition remain lifelong companions, informing my exploration of where art and science converge – a beautiful intersection I’m driven to understand.

Having called New England home for most of my artistic journey, the local landscapes and historical contexts have left an indelible mark on my work. At my core, I’m fascinated by the human spirit’s longing for authenticity and what transpires when that authenticity eludes us. While immersed in the act of creation, I often find myself pondering our spiritual kinships as a species.

Art has been my constant companion from the earliest days, though my path was dramatically reshaped when I suffered a traumatic brain injury as a young mother. The long road to recovery required relearning the most fundamental skills – speaking, writing, walking – while simultaneously caring for my two young children. This arduous period necessarily put my professional art practice on indefinite hold for decades. Yet now, having regained my full faculties, I view this experience as a profound “gift” that has enriched my perspective on the world and the human condition.

With a BA in Visual Arts and Art History, complemented by an advanced degree in Art Education, my passion for creative expression has taken me across the globe. From the ancient wonders of Greece and Italy to the artistic meccas of France, I’ve immersed myself in studying art’s vast histories and philosophies. My work has garnered attention in print and television spheres, with critics lauding my abstract ocean-colored paintings as a pioneering new movement.

Layer upon layer of blues, greens, and earthy terracottas intermingle, evoking the ever-shifting mysteries of the deep sea. Through my art, I strive to capture the essence of the natural world while exploring the depths of the human psyche. It is a lifelong endeavor, one that continually reveals new insights into the wonders that surround us.

I am an abstract painter based in Kittery, Maine. My work explores themes of authenticity, spirituality, and humanity’s connection to nature through expressive brushwork and an intuitive painting process. By abstracting elements from the New England landscape that inspire me, I aim to create works that are emotionally resonant and evoke a sense of the sublime.

My process is very organic and in the moment. I build up layers of paint, scraping some areas away while allowing others to remain, creating a dynamic surface with depth and movement. Paint is allowed to drip, flow, and merge in unplanned ways. This spontaneous method taps into my subconscious and unlocks personal symbology from my own psyche and emotions.

Ultimately, my goal is to communicate universal truths about the human condition and our spiritual relationship to the natural world. My paintings serve as a gateway for viewers to access their own introspection and find their own personal meaning within abstract forms and gestures.

Friendship – Mitrta

Subodh Maheshwari was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, North India where she learned folk art and classical music. She passionately believes: “In the threshold of my life, my present is the window to the past and a key to the future”. She acquired her degrees and studied art at Agra University, California State University of Fullerton, and the University of California Irvine. Subodh has won numerous awards, including the Regional Fellowship Award at UCI in 1986, the Bharat Gaurav Award in India in 2015, and the 60 Masters Award in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She is also registered in Marquis’ “Who’s Who in America”, the standard in biographical information. Her paintings have also won awards in a variety of categories including landscape, open, all women, nature, elements, seasons, and abstract.

Subodh is a diversified artist who enjoys telling stories through her artwork, whether it is through landscape, flowers, or abstract art. Her art is a fusion of Eastern symbolism and Western composition, influenced by 16th and 17th century Rajasthani and Mogul art, and accented by poetry, passages, and phrases in Hindi, Sanskrit, and English. She admires Georgia O’Keeffe for her floral influence, and Frida Kahlo for her courage. Whether it is the serene beauty of nature, her spirituality, or the current political climate, she finds inspiration. Having a life shared between India and America, she sees the beautiful similarities, like love which transcends all borders. Highly individual in her style, her works are described as emotional, mysterious, personal, spiritual, and humorous.

From Holodomor To Water Cutting

Hélène de Tyndare is a French artist of Ukrainian origin.

She was born in what was a pleasant city on the shores of the Sea of Azov called Mariupol. Her taste for painting was expressed very early. She has been trained by Ukrainian painters and she attended art courses in the Arkhip Kuindzhi art school located in Mariupol.

She went to Kyiv University before acquiring experience in engineering and development in Siberia, Ukraine, Italy, and France. After she moved to France in the year 2000 she progressively became fully dedicated to her artistic activity. Her studio was first in the Paris area and is now located in the French Riviera.

Her most recent exhibitions were in Paris, Monaco and Milano.
Then the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia started in February 2022. Among other war crimes against civilians, Mariupol was turned into ruins and death.
As an artist, Hélène de Tyndare has expressed her overload of deep emotions generated by this brutal war through a series of paintings called «Invasion». The paintings presented here include « Besieged Mariupol », « Exodus », « Deportation of Children», « War Crimes in Villages», « Destruction of Cities», « Ecocide, the Destruction of Nature», « From Holodomor to water cutting », « Criminal flag ».

I have always practiced painting. After a career as an engineer, I have been practicing my artistic activities full-time for ten years in my studio located in Boulogne Billancourt until 2019 and in Cannes since 2020.

I can now live my emotions through an artistic expression whose originality of style is now well affirmed. My gaze is nourished by the diversity of my past experiences in environments such as Siberia, Central Asia, and Central Europe and my many trips to France, Europe, and North America.

I have my artistic style which I call cartographic expressionism. My works have in common the use of living colors. In the portraits, I try to translate the humanity that emerges from the gaze and the attitude of the model. In landscapes, I reproduce the emotions that particular atmospheres and luminosity inspire in me. The relationship between nature and human beings is the basis of the common reflection that inspires me in these two themes of portraiture and landscape.

For the portraits, my models are either relatives or photographs that have triggered my emotions and my creative energy. The emotions and attitudes reflected in my work are as varied as serenity, wisdom, tenderness, fragility, melancholy, curiosity, empathy, reflection, energy, courage, or pride.

I work on different media (mainly on canvas frames) in different sizes (mainly between 50 X 70 and 100 X 120) and formats (standard, square, figure, landscape, etc.).
Now I work with large formats from 4 meters long and 2 meters wide, both on canvas and on paper

Adriana Azevedo was born in 1970 in Natal, Brazil. During the Covid pandemic lockdown, she’s unleashed her artistic passion and embraced it. As an immigrant artist based in Florida, her unique Brazilian perspective and cultural background inspire her creative expression.

She worked as an architect in Brazil for 2 decades before moving to the United States. She is proud and honored to contribute to the vibrant and diverse artistic community in the Orlando area.

I find my deepest inspiration in the fascinating worlds of Cubism and Surrealism. These influential movements have ignited my creative spirit, guiding me to explore the intricate interplay between reality and imagination on canvas.

My work is a reflection of the multifaceted nature of existence. Through the lens of Cubism, I deconstruct the ordinary, breaking down conventional forms into a tapestry of geometric shapes and angles. This allows me to unveil new dimensions within the familiar, encouraging viewers to contemplate the essence of what they see.
