Deedar (Glimpse)
Nupur Nishith is a USA-based, award-winning artist inspired by Mithila or Madhubani paintings. Roots in Darbhanga-Madhubani, like any Maithil girl, Nupur inherited Mithila Art from her Mother, Dr Mridula Prakash, the first PhD in History of Mithila Painting. She did an MBA and pursued a career in Marketing and Banking with Bank of Baroda. Relocated to the US when her husband was transferred to the New York office in 2011. She rediscovered her art and developed her unique and distinct style in the contemporary art world with a traditional art form, using varied themes and tools. Works on various surfaces ranging from Paper, Canvas, Glass, Clay, Ceramic, Wood, Aluminum, Murals on walls, ceilings, and floors, and installations to Digital tools and software. Her painting Dheeya was awarded by a jury from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), NY. I practice art inspired by Mithila or Madhubani folk art from India. I paint on canvas, paper, cloth, wood, ceramic, terracotta, glass, aluminum, along with murals on walls, ceilings, floors, and 3D installations. Even digital paintings for an even wider reach. I have evolved a unique style of art with an amalgamation of traditional motifs of ancient folk art with modern contemporary themes and tools with global appeal.
Mithila Artform is famous for the details in the paintings in a flat two-dimensional perspective with no shading or overlapping. Taking it to the next level, I draw inspiration for my art from my experience and surroundings. I visualize objects and situations in perspective to create the symbolic motifs and designs that make my art unique and distinct. Mithila paintings use natural and bright colors with symbolic distinct features, which I never hesitate to experiment with while conserving the essence of the art form. While a set of my paintings is inspired by the colors in the artform, mostly primary colors, the other set is mostly black and white or subtle use of a few colors in line work, also inspired by the artform. Paints range from various contemporary commercial paints to natural vegetable paints used with brush or dip nibs. I like to work mostly freehand without using any stencils or pattern tools on my projects.
I have learned through observation and everyday experiments. During research and production, new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. So, every piece that I create has a story to tell based on the research and its process of development

Delilah
Lindsey McTavish is a Toronto-born artist, currently living and working in The beautiful mountain town of Nelson British Columbia, Canada. Designer, mother, artist & entrepreneur, she is inspired by color & texture, the Canadian landscape, the diversity of the female form & her surrounding environment. Having studied Fibre Arts for 3 years at The Kootenay School of The Arts in Nelson, B.C, followed by 2 years at the Academy of Design in Toronto where she graduated from the Fashion Design program, Lindsey has made a successful career of selling her line of Clothing & Handbags under the namesake label of Lindsey M Collections and is also one of the proud owners of the CRAFT CONNECTION GALLERY in Nelson B.C.
The Gallery is owned and operated by a small group of dynamic female artists & designers, who carefully curate & display an excellent collection of works from over 200 artists and craftspeople from across the country.
You can find Lindsey’s work there year-round, and in other various shows & exhibits throughout the year In Canada as well as in many other International & online exhibits year round.
The following pieces are made by hand felting then quilting (with an industrial sewing machine), un-spun sheep’s wool & silk, Some of the more detailed subjects are needle felted first, and then laid on the background and wet felted together to bind and join the components together.
Wet felting is the process of manipulating sheep’s wool with soap and water and layers until the fibers bind together and become a non-woven “fabric”.
Because of its durability, felting has been used to make many functional items throughout history, such as yurts that are lived in by nomadic Mongolians, rugs, jackets, slippers, hats, etc…
As for my use of it, I am creating 2 dimensional, ”felted tapestries”. In my work, you’ll often see painterly-like scenes that I refer to as Feltscapes – landscapes & scenes that are reminiscent of works by members of the Group of Seven, although I’m also often inspired to work on other subjects that I find myself interested in, such as people, birds, animals, florals & abstracts.

Cher Pruys was born in Regina. Over the years she lived in many places including Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Fort Frances, settling into her present home in Devlin, on the banks of the Rainy River with her husband Mark, 4 dogs, and 2 cats.
By age three, Cher was seldom found without a drawing tool in hand. She worked in pencil, charcoal, and ink over the years, until, she picked up a paintbrush at the age of 35. Beginning with oil paints, she found her chosen mediums in acrylic, watercolor, and gouache.
Although self-taught, her dedication and talent have seen her work juried into 463 International exhibits, as well as exhibits in numerous non-juried shows. She has won 718 awards for her work in the International Juried Exhibits.
Her work has graced the covers of 3 books, and 36 magazines, including The Best Of Acrylic Fall 2021, the cover of the May 2022 Arabella Magazine, #20 Hyperrealism Magazine with “Girls Girls Girls”, & #21 with “The Young Cowboy”, & the latest, Artists & Illustrators March 2024. She has been featured in over 350 International publications. Cher’s works have found a permanent home in private and public collections worldwide.
I am a self-taught artist working in water-based mediums, mainly acrylic, but also at times gouache and watercolor. I am a hyperrealism painter fascinated by the world around me. I am very drawn to shiny surfaces as well as transparent objects, especially when the lighting brings them to life. I look for beauty in everyday objects that most people take for granted or just don’t truly see as they are. The seemingly boring and mundane subjects can truly be like magnets if portrayed in the right light. The shiny metal is one of those materials that can host endless visions….the light hits it and the reflections are captured on the smooth, sleek surface…people and animals especially the eyes…an artist’s dream! My future art plans are to paint the countless subjects I have chosen to become paintings and to share my art with as many people as I can.

Deportation Of Children
Hélène de Tyndare is a French artist of Ukrainian origin.
She was born in what was a pleasant city on the shores of the Sea of Azov called Mariupol. Her taste for painting was expressed very early. She has been trained by Ukrainian painters and she attended art courses in the Arkhip Kuindzhi art school located in Mariupol.
She went to Kyiv University before acquiring experience in engineering and development in Siberia, Ukraine, Italy, and France. After she moved to France in the year 2000 she progressively became fully dedicated to her artistic activity. Her studio was first in the Paris area and is now located in the French Riviera.
Her most recent exhibitions were in Paris, Monaco and Milano.
Then the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia started in February 2022. Among other war crimes against civilians, Mariupol was turned into ruins and death.
As an artist, Hélène de Tyndare has expressed her overload of deep emotions generated by this brutal war through a series of paintings called «Invasion». The paintings presented here include « Besieged Mariupol », « Exodus », « Deportation of Children», « War Crimes in Villages», « Destruction of Cities», « Ecocide, the Destruction of Nature», « From Holodomor to water cutting », « Criminal flag ».

I have always practiced painting. After a career as an engineer, I have been practicing my artistic activities full-time for ten years in my studio located in Boulogne Billancourt until 2019 and in Cannes since 2020.
I can now live my emotions through an artistic expression whose originality of style is now well affirmed. My gaze is nourished by the diversity of my past experiences in environments such as Siberia, Central Asia, and Central Europe and my many trips to France, Europe, and North America.
I have my artistic style which I call cartographic expressionism. My works have in common the use of living colors. In the portraits, I try to translate the humanity that emerges from the gaze and the attitude of the model. In landscapes, I reproduce the emotions that particular atmospheres and luminosity inspire in me. The relationship between nature and human beings is the basis of the common reflection that inspires me in these two themes of portraiture and landscape.
For the portraits, my models are either relatives or photographs that have triggered my emotions and my creative energy. The emotions and attitudes reflected in my work are as varied as serenity, wisdom, tenderness, fragility, melancholy, curiosity, empathy, reflection, energy, courage, or pride.
I work on different media (mainly on canvas frames) in different sizes (mainly between 50 X 70 and 100 X 120) and formats (standard, square, figure, landscape, etc.).
Now I work with large formats from 4 meters long and 2 meters wide, both on canvas and on paper
Despair
Susan Bagrationoff is a professional surrealist whose body of work focuses on mythology and mysterious creatures. Faeries and folklore are the subjects of her creations using the beauty of nature within the Pacific Northwest for realistic reference. She creates her works with copious amounts of modeling paste, multiple layers of acrylic paint in brilliant hues, and metallic mediums to give a magickal ‘vibe’ from her creations.
Susan graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In 2013, Susan started her own art education studio, Artsy Fartsy Art Lessons, which relocated to Kent, WA in 2016. Susan is a member of ARTrails, which is an annual art show that takes place in Centralia, Washington in late September. Since 2023, Susan has displayed works in various exhibitions at Gallery B612 and The Fishbowl in Seattle. In 2024, some of Susan’s works were published in ArtistTalk and Novum Artis magazines. She also exhibits her art through online organizations such as HMVC Gallery New York, Biafarin, and Arteom Gallery.
In a world of so much chaos, an escape into the realm of faeries brings peace and glamour into our dimension. Faeries always hold my fascination when I encounter them within our realm. I utilize the magic within my artistic soul to summon these creatures so that anyone can experience their charm and be inspired to believe in what they cannot see.
My work is conjured onto canvas using copious amounts of modeling paste and acrylic paints with multiple layers of various brushstrokes and the use of palette knife techniques. Brilliant colors and metallic hues are used to enable the faeries to emphasize their `vibe`, inspiring the viewer to discover the essence of these beings. The texture of their skin, hair, and backgrounds are vital to conveying the elemental qualities of each fae. I am perpetually discovering new ways to bring my faeries to life so they can gaze upon us humans as we admire their portraits.
This piece, “Just Venting”, sums up the release of various stressors that have been brought to the world’s attention over the past year.
