Sophie LaBell received her BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in 2017. With a focus on design for social change, she has designed for dozens of political candidates running for office. These projects have included brand identities, digital and print assets, and visual campaigns for political candidates and social causes across the United States. Alongside her experience in design, Sophie has maintained a lifelong commitment to drawing and visual art. Coursework in anatomy, medical terminology, and public health expanded her understanding of the body and its complexities– insights that deeply inform her studio practice. She is actively engaged in arts organizations throughout New Jersey, where she is continuously evolving her work at the intersection of art, science, and personal narrative.
Sophie LaBell is an abstract artist who utilizes acrylic, marker, and pen to create vibrant paintings and drawings. Minimalist in nature, but maximalist in her work, Sophie creates detailed lines and shapes that bleed off the edges of her works on paper. Vibrant neon palettes create a visual vibration, suggesting microscopic change and movement. Her process is intuitive– no sketching or planning– each mark responding to the one before it, growing like cells dividing: unpredictable, interconnected and alive. After being diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease in 2022, Sophie became fascinated with the unseen anatomy of the body: mast cells, spike proteins, and the tangled architecture of nerves. Sophie’s work is grounded in both personal experience and biological curiosity. Her drawings and paintings transform this hidden biology into color, rhythm, and energy– stemming from the belief that what exists inside us can be made visual.
Color Magic
Kimmy grew up along the California coast. Coastal scenes from her childhood (such as the ocean, sky, and sunsets) emerge as a strong voice in her artistic expression, although often in quite abstract ways.
A self-taught artist, Kimmy was heavily influenced to continue her art by her one art professor in college, San Francisco Bay Area artist Frank Lobdell. It was through his teaching style, that she realized the freedom of expression available through art and particularly through painting. With the simple words keep painting and no other critique, Lobdell‘s encouragement has kept her painting through her adult life. Her art does not fit a category as she was drawn to artistic expression as a place of absolute freedom.
Kimmy’s eclectic style uses vibrant colors, natural light, texture variations, and layers of alternating mediums, often including natural or reused objects as collage elements. Kimmy also uses photography to capture multiple paintings and the inclusion of shadows and other features. Her art captures a feeling at a moment in time, often in a natural environment.

Vibrant hues are my trademark. My paintings feature a wide range of vibrant colors, from bold and bright to softer, more muted pastels. These colors create an atmosphere of energy and vibrancy, often with strong African and Asian influences. The bright hues of red, orange, yellow, green, and blue blend together to create an eye-catching piece of art that stands out. The contrast between the different colors can give a painting depth and meaning, helping to bring out the intricate details of the artwork. In addition, the bright colors help bring the artwork to life and offer a unique perspective on the subject matter being portrayed.
My art pieces are heavily influenced by both African and Asian influences. The shapes, colors, and figures used in the artworks evoke both cultures. With an abstract and figurative form, these influences can be seen in the harmonious forms and the vibrant hues used in each piece. It is also evident in how the subjects in the artworks relate to one another, with a subtle yet powerful sensuality tying them together.
My use of both African and Asian influences gives my artwork a distinct look that stands out from other art forms. Her pieces capture the beauty of both continents and celebrate their many differences. From the bold lines and textures to the bright colors and harmony of forms, my artwork offers a unique blend of these two cultures with much to offer.
Color Of Summer
Wenwen Du is a photographer living in Hong Kong. Her work consists of her journey exploring diversified cultures around the world. She photographs impressive moments during her journey and captured these expressive images sprouting her thoughts from the perspective of cultural exchange and transformation.
Ms Du received her master’s degrees in management and foreign linguistics & applied linguistics in China. She graduated with an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. She was also an exchange alumnus at the University of Texas at Austin in 2018.
I see the world through my eyes and cognize through my mind. However, sometimes it is just hard because I meet people from different cultures and find them to have different mindsets and aesthetics. I am interested in how those distinctions play their roles as triggers, especially those across cultures. Observe, record, reflect, and understand. Let’s better communicate not only with linguas but also via paralinguas through photography.
Color Triangles
Linda Hollinger is a fine art photographer currently living and working in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. After receiving a degree in design and illustration she traded in her paints and brushes for film and the camera. Her work celebrates the strength and vulnerability of the female form. Her photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally receiving numerous awards. Her images have been published in Black and White Magazine, Photographer’s Forum, Photoshoot Magazine, The Photo Review, and FotoNostrom Magazine.
Strength and vulnerability are the recurring themes in my photography. The fragility of the human form against decaying architecture and the strength of the human form against luminous, rugged, and desolate landscapes create a mood of sensuality and beauty existing within the contrasting context of textures and tones between the two elements. The beauty of the nude form works both in harmony with the enchanting landscapes and in contrast against the stark architecture of the urban landscapes. In my photography, I strive to capture my subjects in a classical, sensual way, presenting the female form as an extension of or in juxtaposition to nature and urban surroundings.
Colorful Tanzania
Born in Germany, raised in Africa, and currently living in the US. Lifelong artist, high school art teacher, traveler, observer of people and nature, searcher of meaning, artistic problem solver, experimenter, and comfort zone breaker. Her emotions, whether they are peaceful, in turmoil, or humorous, are translated into her works of art. Each piece she shares with the world has a deep meaning to her and it is always fascinating to hear how they are perceived by others.
This piece captures a fleeting moment from a journey through Arusha, Tanzania—a view framed by the window of a moving jeep. The scene, though real, felt almost surreal, bathed in colors so vibrant they seemed to defy reality. Inspired by the way light and atmosphere transformed the landscape, I sought to translate that energy into a layered composition using Prisma Color pencils.
Each layer of color builds upon the next, mirroring the depth of memory and emotion tied to that moment. The interplay of hues is not just a reflection of what I saw but of how it felt—alive, dreamlike, and fleeting. Through this piece, I invite viewers to step into that moving jeep with me, to experience the rush of color, the blur of motion, and the profound connection between place and perception.

Linh Vo is a vibrant figure in the art world, born in Vietnam and embarking on new horizons in the United States at the age of 13. Her childhood was filled with creativity, naturally gravitating towards designing and creating unique pieces. This passion was a family trait, with her mother having a degree in fashion design that mirrored Linh’s quest for originality and distinctive art. Despite enjoying a successful 30-year career in IT, art remained a constant desire, and she painted whenever possible.
After retiring in 2017, Linh pursued art full-time with a goal to inspire others to embrace their creative potential. Her work, rich in luminous colors and evocative compositions, captures her exploration of emotions. She is inspired by historical figures such as Van Gogh, Gainsborough, and da Vinci, as well as contemporary art dialogues on digital platforms. Linh’s creative process is a blend of research and experimentation, drawing from an extensive art repertoire while building her unique vision. Romy Pfeifer is a German photographer working within a wide range of topics such as natural landscape, animal, and travel photography as well as portraiture. One of her ongoing projects is abstract photography of nature and natural landscapes. This unique form of photography allows her to emphasize the vibrant colors, captivating light, atmospheric qualities, and the dynamic essence of nature. It represents her distinct perspective on the beauty of the natural world, aiming to encapsulate and unveil the mystical, ever-changing, and fragile aspects of our environment.
Romy has been represented at exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, and the USA and has received several honorable mentions of the Julia Margaret Cameron Award and Pollux Awards.
My first photographs I made as a child with a single-use camera, and I never stopped making pictures. I think I got the love for photography from my father who has made a lot of photographs all his life long which makes it possible for me to remember my childhood and youth as well as the lives of my parents. From him, I learned to develop pictures in a dark room. Nowadays I mainly use digital cameras, although I have yet to begin to photograph with an analog camera again.
One of my ongoing projects is landscape and nature photography where I work with ICM and multi-exposure. This unique form of photography allows me to emphasize the vibrant colors, captivating light, atmospheric qualities, and dynamic essence of nature. It represents my distinct perspective on the beauty of our natural world, aiming to encapsulate and unveil the mystical, ever-changing, and fragile aspects of our environment. The line between reality and fantasy becomes blurred in these abstract images, emphasizing the wonder of nature and the perpetual state of motion and transformation that surrounds us.
Colors Of Koh Samui I
A native of Philadelphia, Gail attended Tyler School of Art (Temple University) on a full scholarship, graduating with a BFA and certification in education. Subsequently, she earned an MA Ed and 60 additional graduate credits from Arcadia University. The first part of her professional career was spent as a teacher of art to young students. In recent years, she has been fully focused on making and exhibiting her own art. Her award-winning paintings have been exhibited both regionally and nationally in virtual and physical exhibitions. Gail is fortunate to have traveled extensively domestically and internationally. Extended stays in Southeast Asia and a two-year sojourn in Italy have opened her mind to alternate visions of the world, adding depth to her work and allowing new creative impulses to further her continuing journey as a painter.
Putting into practice the inventive openness and lack of inhibition that I observed in my students, I recently adopted the mantra, “Don’t think, just paint!” permitting my heart and my psyche to direct my hand and eye, yielding an unfiltered, direct emotional response to ideas in moods ranging from lighthearted and playful to strong and bold. I am primarily an abstract painter, although a friend once described me as “six artists rolled into one” as I transcribe the many subjects and ideas that fascinate me onto canvas and paper. My recent work, inspired by the unobstructed sky views from my apartment balcony and images from the Hubble and Webb telescopes, has been focused on natural phenomena. Using traditional and non-traditional tools for varied methods of paint application, I have created a color-driven body of work. One juror/critic commented that this body of work asks the viewer to contemplate: “Am I seeing something that could be described as aesthetic violence? Or do these works portray a breakthrough into some imagined space beyond the surface of the canvas?” I invite the viewer to embark on a visual journey with me while getting lost in the color-driven moods of the moment.
