Sylvia Kölbl was born in 9th October 1949 in Vienna, Austria. She studied veterinary medicine in Vienna. She had no education in art, but painting has been her passion since childhood. She had six solo exhibitions and participated in more than 90 group exhibitions in different countries since 2013. Her works belong to private and public collections in Austria, Slovakia, and Germany.
She is an award-winning artist. She is a member of Vetart-artforum, Public Artists, and Galeriestudio 38.
My parents taught me to open my eyes to the different wonders of creation, and from childhood on, I have tried to reflect these impressions in my paintings. Animals in all of their unique and rich beauty, and their emotions, were my main topic and will ever be. I try to give my painted animals a soul by the look of their eyes, and hope it can be seen. Showing my artwork to the public is also an attempt to support the awareness of the voiceless creatures we should protect instead of abusing and destroying them.
Animals can also have fun. They are happy about a good meal, they enjoy social contact and playing with each other, and some look funny in our eyes, although they do not joke just that moment. These are different kinds of having fun.

AMIANGELIKA is a new media artist based in London, UK. She earned her BA in Creative Direction for Fashion with Creative Computing at the London College of Fashion and Creative Coding Institute, University of the Arts London. AMIANGELIKA honed her expertise by obtaining certified online courses in «Contemporary Art» and «Designer of Interactive Media». She also has earned an «Art History» certificate from the Moscow Higher School of Art Practice and Museum Technologies and is a resident VJ at E1.
AMIANGELIKA showcased her professional skills as a Creative Director and New Media Artist in the captivating performance «ICARUS» which premiered during the Resolution Festival in London and later performed at Wayne McGregor Studios. This project garnered critical acclaim and was shortlisted for the One Dance UK Award – The Bob Lockyer Award for Digital Innovation in Dance.

BLCK SUN Excerpt is part of the project BLCK SUN. It is an audiovisual performance created and performed by new media artist AMIANGELIKA and producer 1100. BLCK SUN is a metaphor for a state of one submerging into their inner chaos. By exploring the juxtaposition of themes of chaos and order, darkness and light from visual and audial perspectives, performers take the viewer on a journey through different spaces of the inner labyrinth. This piece is based on the artist’s experiences of these contrasts.
In alignment with the overarching theme of ‘layers,’ BLCK SUN unfolds as a vivid interpretation of this concept. Each layer, whether emotional, visual, or audial, contributes to the complexity of the narrative, embodying the depth and richness synonymous with the layers’ theme. The piece prompts contemplation on the profound question: What happens when one realizes there are no remnants of the old order?
The piece is experienced in spatial audio and performed in real-time using analog synthesizers, digital instruments, and visual programming networks that interact to create a time-sensitive, immersive audio-visual environment that enhances how the audience perceives the story.
The BLCK SUN Excerpt invites the audience to peel back layers, revealing the depth, complexity, and hidden narratives inherent in the artist’s exploration of chaos and order.
Blind Faith Equals Innocence
I tell people that I paint God’s mistake but I don’t actually create errors. My work is an expression of fracture and limitation that is necessarily associated with our conscious power to observe. Everything we notice in life is less than the possibilities. I find this fractured limitation to be a sign of prosperity, opportunity, hope, and trust. More importantly, I find our limited observation powers to be a validation that we can never lock innocence into a finite destiny because we cannot claim to perceive the finality of innocence. I cherish the certainty of such freedom for innocence and feel humbled that I am entitled to a relationship with innocence through error.
For me, being “awake” is not just a celebration of my mortal existence, but also a daunting challenge to participate with others in the act of caring. Primarily I use the ancient medium of 2-D to symbolize TIME as broken and limited, yet eternal. Like the backside of a hung painting we are all absent/invisible before our birth and brought into reality through “the others” who made their mark on our canvas of life already. Once born we awaken to the “front side” of life and become a witness to our previous absence and our future mortality. We become a witness to the eternal divide in life: TIME AS MOTION. My piece here is created with TIME as the action of applying the brush strokes onto the canvas to “sculpt” the figure into view with color and space limitation creating relationships that depict the child image. The knife held by a toddler symbolizes the danger of mortality and the open eye expressing the naivete of innocence that is suddenly confronted by this predicament.
Blind Rescue
Amy Ning was born in Tokyo, between a Chinese father and a Japanese mother. Immigrated to Los Angeles with her family at the age of ten years. She studied art at CSULB earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration.
While working as an illustrator for the Orange County Register Newspaper, her work was honored by the Society for News Design, Print Magazine, the Society of Illustrators L.A. and the Society of Illustrators N.Y. Ning established her career as a freelance illustrator and was represented by Liz Sanders Agency. Her illustrations have been in numerous magazines, books, textbooks, product packaging, billboards, and film to mobile wraps.
Ning’s fine art has been showcased in galleries in California, Colorado, and Minnesota. A participant in the 2019 Arts Festival/ Art-A-Fair in Laguna Beach and Pasadena Art Walk, California. While focused on fine art, she enjoys running, walking, and the company of her two boys, family, and friends.
The endless journey of finding the balance between two cultures East and West is evident in my work where I examine and embrace the ambiguity within. Disparity plays the protagonist in all of my images. Emotion is my focal point of communication with my audience.
I draw inspiration from the energy and wit of Klee and Picasso. My appreciation of ukiyo-e woodblock art is reflected in my shape-oriented lean and its existence in a two-dimensional environment. The attraction for subtle color gradation answers to my years as an airbrush artist. Concepts and preliminaries are executed traditionally with graphite on wood panels, as well as original digital prints.

As a fledgling illustrator in Brooklyn during the 1980s, I took on any project thrown my way. I refer to that time as my “snack or famine days”. Eventually, I zeroed in on editorial work and soon scored assignments at publications like The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, NY Newsday, and The Village Voice (primarily covers).
Since the early 2000s, I’ve concentrated on gallery work with an editorial, satirical slant… essentially larger oil paintings with conceptual content reminiscent of my illustration years. Lampooning politicians, pundits, or spiritual leaders who specialize in alternative facts, manufactured outrage, false equivalents, convoluted conspiracy theories, and tunnel-visioned tribalism (whew) is my form of protest and provides a satisfying outlet.
Blinding Gaze
Susan Bagrationoff is a professional surrealist whose body of work focuses on mythology and mysterious creatures. Faeries and folklore are the subjects of her creations using the beauty of nature for realistic reference. She works with multiple layers of acrylic paint in brilliant hues, using metallic mediums to give a magickal ‘vibe’ to her creations.
Susan graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In 2013, Susan started her own art education studio, Artsy Fartsy Art Lessons, which relocated to Kent, WA in 2016. As an active member of her community, she designed the “Hands of Unity” mural in Downtown Kent. Susan is a member of ARTrails, which is an annual art show that takes place in Centralia, Washington in late September. Recently, Susan has displayed works in exhibitions at Gallery B612 and The Fishbowl in Seattle. She also exhibits her art online through various organizations such as Biafarin, HMVC Gallery New York, and Arteom Gallery.
In a world of so much chaos, a brief trip into the realm of faeries brings beauty, peace, and magick into our dimension. I find our world to be a magical and mysterious place. Faeries have always held my fascination and I believe they thrive within our realm. Like us, they have many faces and many cultures. I utilize my artistic talents to summon these creatures so that everyone can experience their beauty and magick and inspire others to believe in what they cannot see.
My work is conjured onto canvas using acrylic paints with multiple layers and washes, often with metallic hues. Brilliant colors are used to enable the faeries to give off the feeling of their `vibe`, inspiring the viewer to discover the essence of these beings. The texture of their skin, hair, and backgrounds are vital to conveying the elemental qualities of each fae. I am constantly discovering new ways to bring my faeries to life so they can gaze upon us humans as we admire their portraits.
Bliss
Tapping color into water is truly its own kind of magic; simply called watercolor
Belinda Balaski, a native of Southern California, creates colorful watercolor and pastel paintings of people, landscapes, seascapes, flowers, and animals. She is especially fond of painting horses, influenced by her childhood on the racetrack with her father, the well-known jockey, Lester Balaski. Her work focuses on capturing the spirit and unique beauty of living creatures and the natural world. She is motivated by the desire to share a spiritual sense of serenity and peace.
Belinda’s creativity expressed itself at a young age in acting, photography, and art. When not performing in theatre, she was shooting pictures and drawing incessantly. At fourteen she won a four-year scholarship to the Minnesota Corresponding Art School, where she nurtured her affinity for representational art and learned many techniques that served her well.
Belinda’s gift for acting took her on a different path. She won many awards and excelled in a 50-year career in Hollywood. She created BB’s Kids Acting School, where she taught, filmed, and nurtured thousands of children, all the while writing and producing original plays. These experiences developed her artistic eye for framing, beauty, and editing a myriad of choices.
Recently she retired from the film industry and closed her school, to return to her original pursuit of visual art. She enrolled in courses at Emeritus College, discovering a passion for watercolor and pastels. Drawing from a well of diverse talents and life experiences, Belinda uses her gift of capturing a feeling with an instinctual ease of composition.
Belinda lives and works in Southern California but spends several months a year on Kauai, her spiritual home, where many of her inspirational paintings are born.
I am an LA/Kauai-based artist who specializes in watercolor and pastels. I am forever seeking peace and spiritual tranquility in my work, drawn from a myriad of life experiences that have etched; people, landscapes, seascapes, animals, faces, children, and a zillion more images inspired from these cellular memories, into my very soul.
Working in water is like magic ~ when you finally tap a color into the invisible watermarks you lay, the magic begins as you tap darks for shadows, lights for highlights ~ trying to keep your values, just like in life.
You can wet the whole paper, saturate it in water, and sweep colors across to let them blend and mix at will. Let the water lead you, the colors, the mixes, the forms. You can try to control them, but wet on wet has its own life.
Of course, you can then let that dry and slice a hard line on top sending your blends into the background, defining your edges, and sharpening one’s focus into your subject.
There is so much diversity in watercolors, that one can only be limited by one’s own imagination. But if you are open to listening to the muse, tuning into the moment, the flow of the water can lead you where your imagination is endlessly open, allowing the kind of awesome creativity that real “Art” is truly made of. The kind of Art that takes you out of yourself and frees you of all limitations. This is my goal. To allow your eyes to rest on an image that will open and inspire your imagination beyond your physical world, allowing you to relate and yet freely fly…
Blissful Bridge
Shane McAleer grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he started drawing at a very young age. Throughout his school years, Shane continued his pursuit of visual arts and had several pieces in his local art gallery. At the end of high school, Shane joined the United States Navy which he still serves today, 18 years later. Shane’s first duty station was in Okinawa, Japan, where he served as a flight aviation observer across the western Pacific for three years. During his time in Japan, Shane married his high school sweetheart (Miranda), and she continued her undergrad from Ohio State to a distance education school; she ultimately graduated with a Master’s degree in Marketing.
After Japan, Shane and Miranda moved back to Biloxi, Mississippi for advanced technical school. While in school, Shane screened for Naval Special Warfare and served four years as SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. With the platoons, Shane completed several deployments, including onboard SSGN submarines, to the Middle East, and across the western Pacific. Following his tour in Hawaii, Shane screened to further serve within Special Forces at Joint Special Operations Command out of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. During his five-year tour at JSOC, Shane conducted several high-level missions and completed several operational deployments deterring and eliminating several terror groups in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and East Africa. Upon completion of his operational deployments, Shane and Miranda moved to Norfolk, Virginia where he served as a Division Chief prior to commissioning as a Chief Warrant Officer.
Once commissioned as a Naval Officer, Shane and Miranda moved to San Diego, California where he serves as a technical advisor and readiness officer. They have been in San Diego for three years and started their family, with their first son (Cameron) who is 2.5, and their newest addition (Carson) who is 4 months old.
The “Mac Pack” will be moving to Monterey, California summer of 2024 and Shane plans to retire from naval service fall of 2026. They plan to move back to Ohio to continue to grow their business and Shane plans to continue his art while they enjoy raising their two boys.
I took a long hiatus from art during my naval career. From deployments to training, I didn’t fit my deep-rooted passion into my life. My mental health has taken a fairly large hit from my time downrange and when my fast-paced life started to slow down, I found myself in my head a lot. Today, I use visual arts as a therapy and I do it as much as I can with two young boys at home.
I have always enjoyed painting, specifically realism. Whether it’s a scenic view or a portrait, I always enjoy taking the real world and representing it on a canvas. Lately, I have been taking the bumpers off and allowing my creativity to start to show in my work. I have found so much joy in creating art for people of things that hold personal meaning to them, like a portrait of a family member or a childhood home. It’s such a special connection made when something someone holds so close to their heart is brought to life on a canvas. I still do other paintings (like the bridge painting), but my heart is in making people feel thankful and blessed.

Jacquie was introduced to art at a young age and found herself doodling more in school than anything else. Although she went on to achieve an executive career in Human Resources to support her family, art has always been a driving force and a happy place throughout her life. Artists and people who love art, are her people. When she became a mother, it became even more important for her to push more toward her true passions. Since then she dedicated more focused time to learning and sharing her gifts in the arts. Currently, she has a beautiful studio where she lives in San Diego with her family and her fluffy animals. She recently fulfilled her lifetime goal of writing and illustrating my first children’s book. She has been featured in many art shows and galleries as well as taught students from all walks of life. Her art is featured on her websites, Instagram, shops, and stores.
She is looking forward to traveling to France this year to study and learn.
