Red Flame Cactus
Kim Lanier is a vibrant and emerging artist based out of Texas. With a background steeped in music and creativity, Kim’s journey into the world of art has been both organic and transformative.
Kim grew up singing with her Father in church, which laid the foundation for her deep connection to music and performance. Her family owned and operated a successful country music show, The Alvin Opry, for more than 25 years, where Kim honed her musical talents. Over her professional music career, she achieved notable accolades, including winning 2nd place in the Houston American Idol Contest in the early 2000s and 2nd place in the Magnolia Opry Singer Competition.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and a diagnosis of Lupus marked a turning point in Kim’s life, prompting her to seek a new creative outlet. She turned to painting, discovering a passion that has since become her heart’s passion and soul’s salvation. For over three years, Kim has been dedicated to creating cheerful, colorful, and whimsical artworks that promote positivity and well-being. Her preferred mediums are watercolor, ink, and acrylics, with figures and nature being frequent subjects of her pieces.
Kim’s art is deeply intuitive and inspired by everyday life, conversations, and music. She follows her creative instincts, allowing the process to lead her to new and expressive forms. Each piece she creates is imbued with emotion, aiming to evoke feelings and stretch the imagination and introspection of her viewers.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Kim holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Kim’s work has already started to make an impact, and she continues to gain recognition as a new artist. Her journey from music to art is a testament to her resilience and unwavering passion for creative expression.
As an artist and musician, my work embodies a cheerful, colorful, and whimsical style that aims to uplift and inspire. Working with watercolor, ink, and acrylics, I primarily depict figures and nature, infusing my pieces with vibrant energy and positivity. Art is not just my passion; it is my salvation, a way to channel emotions and maintain my well-being.
My inspiration comes from the world around me, everyday conversations, the beauty of nature, and the melodies of music. Having played music professionally for over 25 years, I found myself needing a new creative outlet when the pandemic halted my musical career. This need became even more pressing with my diagnosis of Lupus. Painting became a lifeline, a way to manage anxiety and keep my spirits high.
Art runs in my blood; both my Great-Grandparents were artists from the UK, and I have always felt a deep connection to the creative process. My journey into painting was a natural progression, one that has allowed me to continue expressing myself in meaningful ways.
My creative process is intuitive, guided by an inner sense of direction and flow. I let the art lead, following where it takes me, and in doing so, I find a profound sense of joy and fulfillment. Each piece I create is an exploration of emotion and feeling, a reflection of my heart’s passion and my soul’s journey.
Through my art, I hope to impact others by evoking emotions and encouraging introspection. I want viewers to feel the colors and emotions within each piece, to let their imaginations stretch and their spirit soar. My goal is to create art that resonates on a deep, emotional level, promoting positivity and well-being for all who encounter it.

am a Native Texan who has had a chance to see the world. I am fascinated by nature, color, texture, and shape. Lately, I have begun to see light in the world of Black and White as well as Infrared. My style is eclectic. I let the subject matter take me where it wants to go.
I was educated to be a scientist with a Ph.D in Physics, but after finishing post-doctoral work at Los Alamos, New Mexico, I took a position in the research department of a Multi-National Oil company where I did fundamental research to image the interior of the earth. It was here that I learned the fundamentals of signal processing that I now use for photography. I spent a career with this company performing both research and operational oil exploration. It was a great opportunity to travel and see the world.
I live in a world of visual pollution, but I know worlds of Physical and Spiritual beauty exist. I am constantly on the lookout for small enclaves of beauty, but they keep getting harder to find. So I try looking in different ways. I try looking at different types of light … soft light, strong light, light disturbed by strong weather, and the invisible light of infrared light. I try looking at complexity from new perspectives and nature the way other creatures see it.
I can find beauty in symmetry, and asymmetry. and chaos. I find beauty in nature as well as architecture. I find beauty in life and in the day-to-day struggle to survive. I find beauty in simplicity and in complexity. Beauty is everywhere if you look the right way.

Many of my paintings are abstract and inspired by a strong sense of place, such as one experiences in nature, in an urban landscape, or even beyond, into the universe. My work explores geometric designs and composition by using odd shapes, often bright colors, and illusions of space and depth.
Painting abstractly is a passionate challenge of mine, and I like experimenting with acrylics and oils, applying them to the canvas in interpretations of such topics as time, water, nature, physics, or the cosmos. As an intuitive and exploratory painter, I work mostly in acrylics, oils, and mixed media.
My favorite inspirational art periods are the ones leading up to and including Abstract Expressionism (both American and European), from 1905 to 1950, when artists globally were diverging from traditional representation and forging new visual imagery in spite of nonacceptance and even ridicule from art critics and the general public.
My work has been shown in many metro-Denver art shows and was recently juried into several national shows.

Linda Pasca is an artist and calligrapher who lives in eastern Long Island, New York.
She graduated from The Cooper Union School of Art in 1989. As a student of Master Calligrapher Don Kunz, she became deeply inspired by the art form. Not long after college, she went on to create Pen & Paper, a company that specialized in calligraphy and the design of custom wedding and event stationery and calligraphic works. She worked with and for high-profile clientele and event planners. Her work was featured and published in numerous magazines including Bride’s, Town & Country, and HC&G (Hamptons Cottages and Gardens). She also became sought after for commissioned portraits, paintings, drawings, and wall murals as her exposure grew.
When the event industry came to an abrupt halt in 2020, Linda seized the opportunity to change course and immerse herself in painting. One year later she obtained a three-month solo exhibition and a few galleries to represent her work. She mainly paints with oil on lar
Painting is a necessary part of my daily spiritual practice. It is a way for me to tap into an inner resource that informs how I observe, internalize and connect to all of life. The resulting work is infused with emotion, symbolism, and spiritual value.
Inspiration is drawn from the natural world, animal spirits, women’s empowerment, the written word, and dream imagery. Common throughout the work is a symbolic red road or red image. In some native American cultures, the Red Road signifies one’s spiritual path. The Japanese legend of the Red Thread illuminates the idea that our personal encounters are interwoven and predestined. These concepts influence my thought process and approach.
My paintings are a poetic journey that explores emotional connections to structure, fluidity, realism, other realms, and the various dimensions of our souls. As my own daily spiritual practice unfolds and evolves, it reflects in my work; much like a dance of being.

Stephanie Bing studied painting in the master class of internationally renowned art professor Klaus Jürgen-Fischer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz and photography in the master class of Professor Dr. Vladimir Spacek from Prague. Born in 1967 in Mannheim, Germany, Bing graduated with distinction from high school in Offenburg. Subsequently, she studied fine arts, painting, photography, art history, German, and literature at Johannes Gutenberg University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz, again graduating with distinction.
Following her education, she worked as an associate professor for the Bavarian Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the Bavarian Chamber of Architects until 2002.
Bing focused on design, architecture, aesthetic perception, and digital media to promote visual literacy.
Since 1991, her work has been shown in national and international exhibitions.
I compose bright, surprising settings like a luxury jewel box and assimilate my interiors to unknown sanctuaries with high vibes. Everything in my paintings is playful, ambiguous, and multi-layered. I love variations within a theme and image quotations. My artwork is more than an assemblage of colors and patterns to please the eye. I build new environments that relate to nothing seen before. My pure aesthetic energy flows out of my artwork and brightens the viewer’s mind with pure buzz and excitement. I love to break the traditional methods of spatial visualization and the three-dimensional physical illusions of a room to make the viewer’s perception of reality absurd. I want to allow my audience to look behind the bare, well-known pictorial sphere by leaving behind the classically taught composition and inventing more layers within the two-dimensional canvas. By breaking the classical view, I can generate a new experience for my audience, pointing them to emotional reality. I turn my motives into bright, cheering works of art, like an explosion of colors and organic shapes. Creating is like breathing. Painting is surviving. The painting process itself is of the utmost importance in my daily life. I like to plunge into my painting process as others fall into a pool. Creating a new image is an effort to balance between visualizing and reflecting on my surroundings and emotions. The subjects of my work reflect a myriad of daily impressions from traveling and being in motion. While painting, I get an extraordinary sense of personal and creative freedom. I capture detailed and precise moments that bring a fresh and intriguing perspective to the world’s reality. As the viewer sees now existing in a different light, context, or resolution, familiar objects appear as something new.

Red Series No 4
Nicky P. Rothman is a senior, untrained painter. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wilson College. Her interest in art originally developed when she realized art history touched upon so many different disciplines: history, economics, anthropology, to name a few. All this through the study of beautiful paintings and objects at a certain moment in time. She is intrigued by the endlessly fascinating trajectory of art history. Nicky came to art history because of its wide-reaching scope, but she stayed for the art. In her own era, she continues to ask, What are artists up to? What are they painting? The answers to these questions are a source of delight, wonder, and curiosity to her. Now she is inspired to paint and join those painters, acclaimed or not, who have a desire to put paint to canvas. It took many years, busy as she was with children, caring for parents, a career as a health administrator, volunteering for the former Baltimore Opera Company, and a stint in AmeriCorps, to realize she might try to do what she always wanted to do, and that is to put paint to canvas.
I have always wanted to try my hand at painting and finally did at the beginning of the second year of the COVID pandemic. I work with acrylic, house paint, and charcoal on canvas, paper, and cardboard. I am so drawn to the color, shapes, and lyrical quality of abstract art. For me, it is an intuitive and exploratory process with so many possibilities until the very end when the painting must be made into a cohesive whole. At this point, the painting reveals itself. My objective is to capture movement and something of beauty and interest.

Chasing light in all its ranges and catching a glimpse of extraordinary moments are the primary inspirations for my lens-based photographic images.
As light shifts are swift and fleeting, camera craft, photographic composition, and depth of field are applied with urgency to create the image as the moment created it.
Photographic images for CREATIVITY UNBOUND capture a play of light from unique perspectives and vantage points, bringing to life the essence and energy of movement in the moment.
Photographic works take full form through storytelling, be it factual, imagined, or a shared experience with the viewer.
Images are printed on Live-Edge Archival paper, Giclée Canvas, Acrylic, or Metal as best suits the atmosphere of the composition.
The Art of Photography changes like the light. Each moment introduces a refreshing perspective, taking this photographer on a never-ending journey of discovery to capture beauty in the world we share.
