Alix Hallman Travis is a painter with a background of formal study at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Art Students League in New York, working primarily in watercolors and oils. She employs loose, expressive brushwork in watercolor and bold palette knife techniques with oils, preferring whimsy and vibrant, imaginative compositions over strict realism. Her work joyfully captures the life of local communities, radiating optimism and happiness through her signature use of radiant yellows, aiming to evoke the same delight and warmth she feels about the world around her.
My art practice depends on the seasons. In cold weather, I paint in oil, using palette knives in sweeping gestures and high color. I am not interested in recreating anything I see but rather am inspired by the locations and activity around me, often inspired by my watercolors. When the cold abates, I begin thinking of painting en plein air, but it is not warm enough yet, and I begin to search my scrap watercolors looking for those jewel-like passages to tear into collages. Finally, the weather is warm enough for watercolor, and I am off looking for that shape or color that attracts my attention. Again, I paint loosely with large brushes and bright colors. The years repeat over and over.
Morning Sit, Nightstand
My name is Gim Gousse, I’ve been doing art as far back as my memory goes. From my homeland in Haiti all the way to Long Island New York as someone who wants to make a comfortable living with art, I’ve always been interested in finding my own unique art style that will differentiate me from all other artists. although I’ve practiced with a variety of mediums for school projects or commissioned art, including watercolor, charcoal, and ink. I’ve learned that oil paints were my preferred medium and decided to make that my primary medium. The art style I’ve developed is a rather complex one that I’ve made seem simple. Morning Sit, Nightstand may be my first attempt at expressing this unique form of art, but it will surely not be the last or most beautiful.
Morning Sit, Nightstand is a personal piece. A self-portrait, staring at the nightstand but not looking at it. Sometimes our minds wander off about random things like visualizing all the angles of the room from looking at a glass nightstand. The items placed directly on the nightstand, are the more personal issues that we often think about like the wallet and scattered coins representing financial struggles, the glasses representing blurred vision, the charging air pod case representing isolation from the world’s voices, and a water bottle representing health. all of these personal issues are represented in this piece in a unique stylized manner. This piece contains various overlapping layers of both the bedroom and the items on the nightstand. It may seem overwhelming at first, but everything does make sense when you see the entire room through the sections that the items on the nightstand create. Morning sit, Nightstand is me showcasing the often feeling of daydreaming that many others and I feel visually, this painting is both complex and simple simultaneously since it’s just a bird’s eye view of the glass nightstand by my bed.
Morocco
Poornima Dayal has been painting since 1984. She began expressing her love for the art through oils on canvas, as she found the medium very fluid and easy to work with. Born in New Delhi, she has been based in Mumbai now for over a decade. Since 2019, her ‘passionate affair with the brush’ as she lovingly terms it transformed from using oils to Acrylics on canvas.
She has had the fortune of being written about in The Vogue, India magazine as well as many leading Indian Newspapers, including The Hindu, The Bombay Times, The Indian Express, The Hindustan Times, Midday, and many more.
She has been the recipient of A Talent Prize Award and A special Honor award for her art by The prestigious Art Show International Gallery, L.A. She has also received a special Honor award from Fusion Art Gallery, U.S.A.
Her works have also been selected by The Bombay Art Society, Mumbai for an online display at their selected Independence Day collection in 2021. Amongst several Art exhibitions around the globe, her artworks have also draped the walls at The Melamegi Art Festival in Vienna. An online exhibition of Cityscapes adorns the walls of Art Show International Gallery, L.A. as a solo artist since 2020.

It began with expressing my love for art through oils on canvas, as I found the medium very fluid and easy to work with. Acrylics lend a brilliant texture to the board, are luminous, and may be used to paint a splendid array of art forms. There’s also a display of imagination through colors and hues with a lucid depiction of the sense around the work.
I choose to narrate stories through abstract forms of art and have also been currently doing a lot of abstract “form” play through the depiction of conceptual art.
Mosaic
I was born and raised in NYC but mostly in The Bronx. I attended CCNY where I graduated with a BS in Mathematics and an MA in Mathematics Education. I taught high school mathematics in The Bronx. I have always been interested in the arts and started writing poems and playing guitar at age 19. I studied poetry under Professor Robert O’Clair. I studied guitar at The Guitar Workshop. I studied painting and drawing at SUNY in Purchase. I have had paintings in 8 live group shows at Jones Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri, 2 at Arbor Gallery, Carmel, NY, and 1 at Putnam Arts Council in May 2024 in Mahopac, NY. Also, I have exhibited in many online shows. I have exhibited continuously at HMVCGalleryNewYork virtually since its inception. A wonderful state-of-the-art gallery with outstanding artists! My poems have been published.in magazines, books, and at HVMOCA. I performed some of my poems in April 2024 at HVMOCA with numerous other artists at Writing The Walls 2024. I self-published a children’s book, ”Mr. Fine Goes to the Eye Doctor”. My principal artistic interest has been abstract painting and drawing for the last 11 years, but I have written many poems as well. I live in Putnam County, NY.
My work in fine arts has principally been in 2 classes of abstract paintings: oils and water-based paints. However, I have completed numerous works in drawing. I focus on color, texture, methodology of delivery, and composition. In composition, I am interested in positive space and negative space as well. I believe the painting/drawing is a manifestation of my emotional state of both conscious and unconscious feelings.
Most Black Kings Create A Legacy
I am an American Artist currently living in France. Started working primarily as a chalk muralist creating large-scale works for outdoor festivals and museums. I transition to create a less public art practice around 2020 where I found myself drawn to smaller works. After being forced to the side during Quarantine I started creating a series of works now where I put hundreds of post-it notes with individual drawings onto a canvas. Having my first group show in my hometown of Cleveland before I left for France and being published in Voyage Ohio and a Canadian contemporary art magazine, I’m excited to share my work with more people and let my new environment shape my work.
This submitted work was conceived out of the notion of diversity. The piece showcases not only the importance of differences on an individual level but also how differences can come together to stand for something bigger. My hope is through these pieces, viewers are able to feel the power of coming together as one.

A Design Artist mainly active in Japan. With doubts about contemporary Japanese society, started particular art activity to seek the expression of “freedom”.
I have many fans at SNS and my own art goods are selected by many people. Winning prize in the contest of clock design and collaborating with four companies.
Trying to create specific art experiences at Solo and International exhibitions, to spread the enjoyment of free expression among all people, whether or not they are artists.
My pieces were selected at many international exhibitions including the “Seattle Erotic Festival 2021”, “HUMAN FACES AND FIGURES”, “Visions of Self” and so on.
My main style is to paint the desire to touch the beauty of the relationship between nature and humans, using colors that appear in my mind.
I have mainly painted portraits, especially those of women. These portraits are not completely abstract, but appear, for example, with some lack of facial expression or as a fusion of hair and scenery, connected with Nature, the Earth, and the Universe on the one hand, and with Love, the Birth, the Awe and such other mental movements on the other hand. Furthermore, my pieces are connected strongly with my mind, my situations, or someone close to me, so they are self-portraits themselves. Someone could analyze my pieces, but I never paint by analysis. I just do it completely freely, moved by strong passion.
Mother And Child
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, the United States. I currently reside in Northern California with my parents, my dog Jack, and my two dragons, Lucy Lou and Nala Rue. I am the mother of two adult children. My focus now is to expand my exposure so that I increase my sales and also increase the time that my work is hung in galleries. I firmly believe that I can get there— it’s just going to take a little more time but I’m very excited for the journey. I’m ready to take it on! Being 51 years old, you have a different perspective on what life really is about and what matters. I spent years worrying about what to do with my life. Countless years of searching for my purpose. You most definitely want to follow your dreams, but always have a backup plan.
I have been painting abstracts for over 30 years. I started off as a very young student in middle school and quickly became immersed in the fine art by way of a wonderful teacher, who led the way and supported me I’ve had private lessons, formal schooling, and a tremendous amount of hours of self-taught experience in abstract and graphic design.
My entire focus is split between the color wheel and composition mechanics. When I paint, I “fly by the seat of my pants”, and start with one idea, only to end up with something else in the very end, which, if anything, is more successful than my original plan! I am obsessed with textures and pride myself on having hundreds of hours of use, study, and experimenting with acrylic gel mediums, rich metallics, and other acrylic textures to enhance my concept.
When people ask me to describe myself as a painter, it is nearly impossible to do so in simple terms. I paint with my heart, soul, and mind, and in that order, and when I paint, I’m free.
Mother Earth
Kate’s abstract paintings are colorful creations on canvas, paper, or wood. She uses a variety of brushstrokes and layers to achieve a result that can indicate movement and often is a vibrant mix of hues. Her work can be a complete abstraction or indicate landscape or floral.
Abstract painting is a very enjoyable and spontaneous process for me and allows me the freedom to create at the moment using a variety of palettes and substrates. Each piece is inspired by nature or color indicating brushstrokes and movement. I love how each viewer responds to a painting in their own personal way.
Mother Earth
A self-taught painter, my art is influenced by my background in graphic design and illustration, and by my life experiences as a hospice nurse, educator, director, and years as a single mother of three amazing children. I hope that my work resonates with other women, prompting self-recognition, empowerment, and a profound affirmation of every woman’s inherent strength and potential.
My art explores the power and potential of the feminine through archetypal figures. Through my work, I center women as strong, dynamic forces of creation and innovation, deeply connected to the earth and to our shared humanity. Celebrating Eve to Mother Earth and female ballerinas as an inherently powerful, curious, adaptable, and grounded figure to recognizing the essential life-giving qualities of Mother Earth and Mother Moon, my goal as an artist is to dismantle and reimagine traditional socio-historical narratives that have often minimized or maligned the significant role of women and the feminine. My aim is to create images that celebrate the inherent strength and wholeness of women, inviting the viewer to recognize and embrace the extraordinary feminine around and within themselves. Every piece begins with a deep dive into historical artistic representations of the subject across media. This process involves extensive research and meditative visualization, allowing each composition to be realized in the mind’s eye before painting begins.
