Metamorphosis
Based in Colorado Springs, Bree is a digital and mixed-media artist who often depicts the experiences of women and the beauty and importance of nature. Her current mission is to create art that balances meaning and accessibility.
This abstract self-portrait was created after a long period of self-taught study while sequestered in a cabin in the mountains. “Metamorphosis” celebrates this whole experience: the beauty and the pain of change, this development of Bree as a person and a student, and the perfect imperfectness of growth.

Dorothea Ney’s abstract paintings present themselves as a playful symphony of colors. Thanks to her travels and different living conditions she has learned to blend the different experiences into her own abstract expressionist style. Light flows and moves through shifting pastel color fields over the canvas, and boundaries of form are dissolved. Dorothea Ney’s imaginary places enwrap the viewer in a harmonious impression of peace and beauty.

As an expressionist painter, I work with acrylics, oil-color cold wax, and crayons on canvas or wood panels.
Thanks to my travels, studies, and different living conditions I have learned to blend the different experiences into my own abstract expressionist style. My current acrylic paintings weave together the softer colors and light from my home in Germany with the wilder, bolder colors and the intense light in NM where I live now. Both opposites feed into my works creating imaginary landscapes of my soul.
In a dialogue between the canvas and my soul, I translate the beauty and the energetics of the natural world into an abstract composition of light, color, and movement. Currently, I am favoring light pastel colors to express the transitory delicacy of things, be it plants, emotions, ideas, or experiences.

Paul Delpani is an artist from Vienna, Austria. Born in 1966.
Austria is a place of tradition and art, which is surrounding you everywhere. It is this special environment that gave rise to Paul Delpanis’s career. Always keen on understanding and questioning circumstances, ambience, and interconnectedness he focuses on photography and digital media to depict all this.
In a combination of analytic and procedural methods and with the eagerness to find a stylistic expectation Paul Delpani researches the potential of photography, starting from alternative processes to digital painting. Trained in processes he uses photography conceptionally, mainly thinking in series giving meaning.
He exhibits since 2000, concentrating on international exhibitions since 2016, and took part in various Group and Solo exhibitions internationally and nationally, such as Texas, New York, London, Scotland, Bangkok, Budapest, Venice, Nice (France) but also Vienna. Participation in photo festivals in Spain and Vienna, Honorable mentions, and prizes in competitions. His artwork is also represented in collections in Europe and in print media.
Since the artwork is based on conventional photography, abstraction enhances it to reflect the mind and spirit. thereby providing a fresh perspective on our contemporary life and mind state. All artwork is Ed 5 + AP and available in different sizes and media.
Metaphor
Immediately after Secondary School, she took various painting and sculpture lessons, followed for several years by painting lessons in the Stedelijk Museum with the painter Peter Schenk. She also followed and completed the evening academy at the “Kleine Academie” in Amsterdam and enrolled at the Rietveld Academy. Marianne also followed a teacher training in drawing and textiles. At that time, she gave lessons at a school in Amsterdam. She initially worked with various materials such as oil paint, pastel, watercolor, gouache, etc. The last few years have mainly been with acrylics. She works from her own studio.
Marianne also makes and paints objects. She regularly works on assignments and exhibits at home and abroad, in both galleries and museums. She has won several prizes, both nationally and internationally. Marianne is a member of the VAK. Marianne signs her work under the name MARFEL.
How I experience the world, life, my contact with people, and nature around me is the starting point for connecting with this through my art. I express this emotionally through the colors and shapes in my work and the title that ultimately gives my paintings. Through my art, I try to express the feeling that lives inside and outside me and the world, and to convey this to the viewer and visitors of my work, and in that way make connections. I also want to make people happy with my art. My country, the Netherlands, is flat, and that is why we have to do water management to prevent flooding. That inspired me in this painting, which shows water movement and stillness.
The sun rises every day, but always gives a different feeling and experience. I showed this in my last paintings.

Charles is a graduate of the Baylor University fine arts program. After college, he opened a graphic design studio, beginning his career as a professional artist. His paintings reflect mastery of his craft and versatility in a variety of styles and media.
I create luminary nature and motion—paintings where landscapes, wildflowers, horses, birds, still lives, and abstract color fields all carry the same living energy. Often working in a realistic, open impressionist, or abstract and expressive style, I use luminous skies, vibrant color, and rhythmic brushwork to capture the feeling of being fully alive in the natural world. Whether it’s a herd of horses thundering through dust, a quiet bayou sanctuary, a vase of flowers, or a canvas of swirling color, my work invites you into moments of calm, joy, and motion all at once. This use of luminary nature and motion turns the landscapes, florals, animals, or abstracts into living energy on the canvas. This gives my work a very recognizable emotional fingerprint: tranquil yet not sleepy, serene but still pulsing with life. Whether I am painting representational, impressionistic, or abstract, my art shares a joyful, life-forward chroma. This mix of structured subject and liberated mark-making is a big part of my art.

Karen Safer, a native Angelino, is an internationally exhibited, award-winning photographic artist and poet with a musical bent. Her passion for art began when given a camera and crayons at age three and was immersed in California’s visual language. A lifelong traveler, she has explored over 230+ countries & territories, embracing both the exotic and the unexpected. Influenced by her father’s black-and-white photography and her mother’s insatiable curiosity for knowledge and travel, her inspirations range from ancient Assyria to the conceptual works of Cindy Sherman. She began as a painter before discovering photography in college, earning a master’s degree in art (UCLA & CSULB) and building a career in design and architecture.
With 14 solo exhibitions and participation in over 660 shows, she has received more than 590 awards, including the Julia Margaret Cameron Award, PISPA, TIFA, reFocus, and Exposure One. Her work has been featured in 180+ publications, such as LENS, Dodho, ArtTalk, ArtTour, One Eyeland, and Spotlight. I’ve always been an artist. My passion for art and photography began early in my teens. I embrace the natural world and man-made as well. I am influenced by everything from the ancients to Cindy Sherman, and while I embrace color, I revere black and white, realistic and abstract. I am a student of the universe, history, art, architecture, music, literature, and all the arts.
I got a camera and some crayons as a kid,
journeyed along a path in life – far from what I’d expected,
moved from youth to middle age,
did some work, had some fun, got high, got low,
and just continue doing it – never tiring of the next visual surprise.

Mexico City
Denise Richards taught Graphic Design and Video Production at the Academy of Art University and San Francisco State University for 25 years. Her fine art has been exhibited in 30 shows in the U.S. last year, one piece recently winning Best of Show at a San Francisco Gallery. Her latest documentary film, Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Life, is available on Amazon/US.
Having worked as a flight attendant many years ago, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to more than 100 countries and have a large collection of old paper and money from various countries, some no longer in circulation. Often, my artwork is reminiscent of one or more of the countries I’ve visited or of the experiences I had there.
As a member of the Art Deco Society, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to a few countries where Art Deco architecture design, often combined with Art Nouveau elements, is prolific. I found myself drawn to the geometric shapes of Deco and the curves of Nouveau, so I translated those shapes into these works, which feature paper collage from those countries as a background, covered with 2-part resin, then acrylic shapes are added, before finishing with another coat of resin.
Mezuzah Memories
Julia Gutman is originally from Washington, D.C.. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021 with a degree in Social Welfare and Studio Art. Upon graduating, Julia moved to Philadelphia and worked as a teaching artist before creating her own arts enrichment program, CARE (The Creative Arts and Restorative Education Program). In addition to CARE, she now teaches Digital Media at a K-8 school in North Philly. Julia works with acrylic and gouache paint, digital mediums, and mixed media. Her art is inspired by her community, family history, cultural heirlooms, and recipes.
My family history inspires my work. Over trays of Lebkuken with my Oma, bowls of matzah ball soup with my grandmother, and lox bagels with my grandfather, I heard stories of my family. Stories filled with humor and sorrow. Stories vividly remembered and vividly embellished when details began to fade. Their stories weave together, directly connecting generations. I use my art to remember these stories and the moments in which, sitting across from my grandparents, they were told to me. Centering familial heirlooms in my mixed media artwork not only allows me to create a visual record of my family’s stories but allows me to understand my place in them as well.

Sixto R. Jeannot Vélez, San Juan, PR, 1972
Painter, draftsman, installer, graphic artist. He studied Drawing and Painting at the Central High School of Fine Arts in Santurce, P.R. with Professor Gabriel Cruz Díaz. Between the years 1993 and 1997, he obtained an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts at Atlantic College in Guaynabo, P.R.From 2012 to the present, he has participated in various art workshops of the PROA program of the MAPR and in Local and International Calls such as the NFAA Miami Florida, obtaining an Honorable Mention in 1990. He is currently studying at ICPR Junior College in the town of Bayamón, to become a Digital Graphic Designer with a concentration in Web Design. He is a very creative artist who combines in his graphic arts, drawings, paintings, and installations the use of Adobe Photoshop as an indispensable tool for his creations in his Surrealist, Expressionist, and Neorealist movements with a high degree of chromaticism.
The art of fantasy or fantastic art invites the creation of retrospective worlds with new concepts or paths. To express this discourse I have adopted, I use newspaper paper and add an explosion of chromaticism that presents images within the surrealist, expressionist, and neorealist movements. My schizophrenia, as well as self-management, lead my work towards tenebrist expressions. These works transform into simplistic surrealism through which I invite the viewer to question and play with the piece. They are at the forefront of the new challenges that lie ahead.
