Dan McCormack studied Photography at the Institute of Design in Chicago Next, he earned an MFA in Photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He began photographing the nude with Wendy, his wife while in graduate school. Then for over fifty years, he explored various techniques and processes while photographing the nude as a central theme.
In 1982, Dan McCormack won an NYSCA-CAPS Photography Fellowship with a series of infrared nude images made of Wendy. With that series, he produced a monograph, “BODY LIGHT-Passages in a Relationship” in 1989.
In 1998 Dan began to work with pinhole camera photography. In 2009, he won the Ultimate Eye Foundation’s grant for Figurative Photography and had his work featured in an exhibition at the Peninsula Museum of Art in Belmont, CA.
In January 2010, Dan McCormack had a solo show at the Photography Center of the Capitol District in Troy, NY. He showed over fifty images from ten diverse series made from 1990 to 2010.
Dan was one of the three founders of the Center for Photography in Woodstock in 1975
and in 1989 he was a founding member of Gallery 3 in Philadelphia, PA.
I use traditional 8” x 10” B&W film in a homemade oatmeal round cylinder pinhole camera to create wide-angle distortions with the cylindrical focal plane. The familiar becomes unfamiliar, the ordinary, extraordinary. By then replacing the black-and-white values with subtle hues through the successive pulling of curves in Photoshop, I interact with and interpret the image. I photograph the model nude in her own home, apartment, or studio, surrounded by her possessions for two-minute exposures. A collaboration between model and photographer, these images attempt to reveal a portrait of the subject. I have worked on this project for over twenty years and the images have been wonderfully intimate.

Matthew Gallien is an artist living in South East New Mexico. He was first taught photography by his mother at age thirteen. In high school, he became a photographer and editor for his school’s yearbook and developed a true love of the medium as well as a love of natural sciences. After high school graduation, he attended New Mexico State University Alamogordo and obtained an Associate of Arts and an Associate of science. He moved to Las Cruces New Mexico in 2016 to pursue an education in fine art and wildlife science. It was in college he found my passion for documentary photography and want to tell stories of people and the world around us. In 2021 he graduated with a degree in Wildlife Ecology, General Agriculture, and Mass Communications with a minor in Studio Art.
Tomorrow to me is something that is not guaranteed. It’s an ethereal bright concept that stretches endlessly into the future. It is a river of sunrises that brings light to the shadows we all have in our past. It is not a certainty, however, ghostly much like memories of times gone by.

The source of Steven Bogart’s painting comes from his relationship to nature and science. Primarily, he is interested in capturing a moment of grace and solitude. Often, the moment is related to the landscape space or capturing movement within the pictorial frame. These images are often discovered near his home on walks through the woods or quiet paths. Sometimes, the work comes from memory.
His abstract work is different, creating a seducing effect of color, energy, and the experience of both macro and micro spaces.
He received his BFA in painting from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and has been working in Boston as a freelance artist, teacher, writer, and director since graduation.
Over the years, he has exhibited his work at the Decordova Museum, The Fitchburg Museum, The Katonah Museum, the Ueno Metropolitan Museum of Art (Tokyo), Locco Ritoro Gallery, Boston, The Bromfield Gallery, Boston, Buffalo, NY, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, and Chicago. He is a contributor to Arts In Giving, which raises money for pediatric cancer research through the sale and loans of artworks, and he is an artist with the Decordova Museum loan program.
He lives with my partner and sixteen-year-old Siamese cat in Maynard, Massachusetts.
At the age of five, I made a crayon drawing of clothes on a clothesline swinging in the breeze. I believed the drawing was alive. From that moment, art became an escape from the challenges of a difficult childhood; a safe haven that provided a way to move forward and make a positive contribution to the world.
In 2009, I spent nine days in the Inyo Mountains of Southern California on a personal vision quest. The climax of that experience was an awe-inspiring vision of the wonder and mystery of nature that drew a thorough line from my childhood art-making to the adult artist I am today. The act of painting has become a positive outcome of my vision quest experience.
In my abstractions, I combine the fluidity of oil paint with the stiff, shiny qualities of enamel paint. I make deep pictorial spaces where luscious grounds of soft-hued compliments of color function as backdrops to reflective surfaces that surge with energy and where the viewer is seduced into an experience of delight. In my landscapes, I capture moments of transcendent time.

Marilyn K. Fuller, at 81, raised in rural Indiana, defies convention, emerging as a dark horse whose art bridges timeless craftsmanship with vision to embrace digital inevitability. This Floridian retired nurse turned creator transforms humble materials into captivating altered frame art. Her process, charmingly described as ‘just gluing things together,’ reveals a sophisticated eye for design, drawing inspiration from nature’s palette—flowers, birds, the ocean, and perfect hues of green, blue, and pink. Signature elements like abalone, mother-of-pearl, jewelry, and intricate beads frequently grace her pieces, reflecting a lifetime of cultivated artistic sensibility.

Life before “art” was happily consumed by the activities of having and raising a family of four, now grown and almost ready for retirement themselves, children. Then, at age 40, I became a Registered Nurse, a career I loved until my retirement.
Late in life, a traumatic event prompted me to try a creative process to heal. Seven years have passed, I am now 81 years old, and obsessed with making pieces.
I make altered frame decorative wall pieces, using mostly vintage to contemporary jewelry, but if I can glue it, I will use it. My pieces often have a floral or under-the-sea-life theme, and while I like all colors, I am drawn mostly to the blues, greens, purples, and pinks.
Recently, I was asked about the “faces” in my pieces. While then unaware of them, I now love creating them on purpose. I also like to make a piece interactive by adding something the observer can remove, replace, turn on or off, use, or wear into the piece.

My paintings combine meticulous research with deep personal and spiritual themes. I strive for excellence from concept to completion while creating compelling scenes that invite viewer inquiry. My portfolio, which can be seen on my website delshiredesigns.com, is deeply influenced by a rich background in art history (classical and modern, European and American), formal training as a graphic designer, my career as a hospice and palliative care nurse, life as a single mother, and a love for nature. My work has been featured in Studio Visit Magazine (Vol 44, 46), the New Britain Museum of American Art (Nor’easter 2017), and a solo show at the Gilbert Gallery at Miss Porter’s School (2018). Recent accolades include 3rd prize in the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 115th Juried Exhibition, Honorable Mention at the Teravarna International Juried Art Competition (Dec 2025), and exhibitions with HVMC Gallery in New York and Times Square. Most recently, in March 2026, I had a solo international show with Teravarna.com.
Most double portraits show a relationship between two separate people. In my portrait of Henry Mason Jr, Third Prize winner of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 115th Juried Annual Show, we see two parts of the same person. We see a relationship between the landscaper, who likes being one with nature while caring for land trust spaces, in discussion with the inventive engineer who donates his time and gifts to civic organizations. We see a person who is at peace with all of who he is and what he brings to the table – his love of old cars, the circuit breaker he helped invent, family memorabilia, love of building, playing golf, and his connection to the world’s creatures with his beloved dog by his side. The landscaper with his face all but hidden under this protective hat, wearing the clothes stained from work while sitting in his grandfather’s chair, is a stark contrast to the refined, nicely dressed gentleman in a new leather chair discussing matters in an ethereal setting only allowed in one’s imagination. One could say this is truly Unprecedented.

Joanne Chase-Mattillo was born in the beautiful Midwestern University town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. While the natural surroundings of her childhood were inspiring, the beauty of nature surrounding Los Angeles was the impetus for her entrance into the field of photography. Joanne began vigorously studying photography and other art arenas to hone her skills as a visual artist. In 2000, she graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA). She is now a full-time artist.
In addition to color and black and white film, Joanne shoots digitally and employs the techniques of infrared imaging and enjoys creating 3D anaglyphs to be viewed with red/blue lenses. As an extension of photography, she has branched out to do videos and has a YouTube Channel, THE VIDEO ART OF JOANNE CHASE-MATTILLO. Along with nature, Joanne frequently photographs female and male subjects at themed studio shoots. She often uses the photograph of models combined with images of her nature photography to create unique photo montages.
Joanne has exhibited throughout California, nationally, in Korea, France, England, Switzerland, Scotland, Greece, Spain, Germany, Japan, Belgium, Holland, Taiwan, Brazil, Dubai, and Italy.

His works were awarded 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th places in political commentaries in American Art Awards from 2014 to 2021. He received the Golden Award with cash in the 2014 Master of Art International exhibition by Margarita Feaks Gallery, UK. He also received First Round Award with cash in Art Olympia 2015 International Open exhibition in Tokyo Japan.

I am a Nigerian-born, American-trained Artist, currently residing in the United Kingdom as an artist with a unique personal style. My recent paintings were influenced by the political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of Renaissance artists.
“A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art” so said Paul Cezanne; The uprising in the Arab world is what influenced my first political painting “ARAB REVOLUTION” in 2012. “THE EAGLE HAS LANDED” was done to speak about the American-led war on terror. My painting “THE BLEEDING ROSE” was done in my solidarity with Christians beheaded by ISIS in Iraq and Syria. I used my paintings “AFRICAN’T”, “HUNGER IN THE LAND OF PLENTY” and “OIL: AFRICANS’ WEALTH AND WOE” to speak about the exploitation of African nations. The Painting depicts paradoxical poverty and the riches of Africa. my work, “THE FISHERS OF MEN” is about the horror of refugees drowning in the Mediterranean Sea. I also used my painting – “UKRAINE: THE UNFORTUNATE BRIDE” to speak about America and Russia-influenced war in Ukraine.
The theme of my works, in general, is “The Facts of Life: Roses and Thorns.” Life is roses and thorns; sometimes it emanates the sweet aroma of pleasantness and sometimes it pricks and causes pains. I often use Roses and Thorns for portrait paintings of the facts of the life of people. I first used Roses and Thorns in my political painting “THE BLEEDING ROSES.” Since then I have adopted this floral iconography style – Roses and Thorns as my unique style in some of my paintings like “DOMESTIC ABUSE”, and “MY MOTHER, Her Majesty Platinum Jubilee: Her Rosy Reign” to name a few. Roses are for achievements and other positive parts of life and Thorns are for painful challenges and negative parts of life.
