Artist Bio

Susanne Zieringer is a German contemporary artist and photographer whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses expressive painting, photography, and digital video installations. Inspired by nature, travel, and personal observation, her work explores the relationships between color, memory, movement, and emotion. Her distinctive visual language is characterized by bold color, energetic brushwork, and expressive interpretations of the natural world.
Zieringer’s artistic foundation lies in textile design and textile engineering at Fachhochschule Niederrhein and fine arts at Fachhochschule Krefeld, Germany. Her classical training includes academic drawing, painting techniques, and visual composition, further developed under the mentorship of artist Gertraut Fuchs-Gerhart. This combination of technical knowledge and artistic training continues to inform her approach to color, structure, texture, and composition.
Her fifteen years of professional experience in the international fashion industry have profoundly shaped her understanding of color harmony, pattern, and materiality. These influences continue to inform her fine art practice, where unexpected color combinations, expressive forms, and dynamic compositions move beyond naturalistic representation to capture the vitality and individuality of animals and the natural world. In her digital video installations, Zieringer combines AI-driven animation, movement, and sound to transform paintings into immersive experiences that explore new ways of engaging with art and reconnecting with nature.
Her recent achievements include a Merit Award from the Luxembourg Art Prize (2025), the Prix du Public (Second Prize) at Art Show Paris XXI (2025), and a feature in Art & Design Magazine, Special Dubai Edition (2025). Since 2026, she has been a permanent resident artist at Galerie die Treppe in Nürtingen, Germany.
