Artist Bio
My paintings combine meticulous research with deep personal and spiritual themes. I strive for excellence from concept to completion while creating compelling scenes that invite viewer inquiry. My portfolio, which can be seen on my website delshiredesigns.com, is deeply influenced by a rich background in art history (classical and modern, European and American), formal training as a graphic designer, my career as a hospice and palliative care nurse, life as a single mother, and a love for nature. My work has been featured in Studio Visit Magazine (Vol 44, 46), the New Britain Museum of American Art (Nor'easter 2017), and a solo show at the Gilbert Gallery at Miss Porter's School (2018). Recent accolades include 3rd prize in the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 115th Juried Exhibition, Honorable Mention at the Teravarna International Juried Art Competition (Dec 2025), and exhibitions with HVMC Gallery in New York and Times Square. Most recently, in March 2026, I had a solo international show with Teravarna.com.
