Artist Bio
Born in Southeast Asia, Kathy Linden immigrated to the United States as an eager young artist, embracing the opportunities that would shape her creative journey. Raised in a family of European heritage whose lives were deeply affected by the horrors of World War II, she was profoundly influenced by those experiences. Her earliest works reflected those darker themes, though they were later destroyed as they no longer represented her artistic vision.
University studies in the visual arts opened an entirely new world of creative exploration. Through an intensive study of artistic disciplines, Kathy discovered the expressive power of vibrant color and developed a passion for experimenting with a wide variety of mediums. Over time, this exploration led to the emergence of her distinctive signature style, characterized by rich texture, bold color, and emotional depth.
Kathy believes that art has the power to communicate beyond words, inviting viewers to experience their own emotional connection with each piece. Her work is guided by a simple philosophy: “Art is the silent language that speaks to the soul.”
