Maureen A. Creegan Quinquis

I am always inspired by the experience of being near flowers and observing all of their stages of life. I am fascinated by art history and, in particular, the vanitas still life period, where the honesty and visual surprise of including decay and form breaking down were in the paintings. In these pieces, I tried painting from direct observation, not only the presence of flowers but also their movements, their different physical stages, while trying to capture their aesthetic abundance.
