Maria Votek is a contemporary artist based in Boca Raton, Florida. Her abstract paintings explore color, texture, and emotion through layered compositions in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, often using molding paste and crackle effects to create depth and movement.
A children’s book illustrator with a pharmacy degree from the Moscow Medical Academy, Maria brings a clear, structured sensibility to her creative process—grounded in scientific rigor yet open to intuitive discovery. Although not a direct descendant, she is proud to share a distant family link to Wassily Kandinsky—a heritage that quietly supports and inspires her practice.
