I'm inspired by the natural world and discovering the magic in it. My initial interest began in bird photography, but during those frustrating moments of trying to photograph birds, I turned to flowers. They have unique beauty to them, and they’re a much more cooperative subject than an animal! Nature photography has opened up doors to worlds that were previously hidden from me; an interest in flowers begets an interest in insects. Gardens are peaceful yet exciting because there’s always something happening, even if it’s very small. As a nature photographer, I take time to notice and appreciate the life around me, and it’s humbling to be a part of it. Every time I go out with my camera, I'm learning about a new flower. Nature photography is a great reminder that not only is our world incredibly beautiful, but we always have something new to learn and experience.
