Artist Bio

Séraphine’s vitae of awards and accolades are extensive. Her paintings are hung internationally in private and museum collections. She has exhibited in 25 museums and 162 galleries. She is a recognized teacher at colleges and universities, privately in her studio, via the Internet, and with many youth enrichment programs.

In 1977 she had the great honor of mentoring Georgia O’Keefe at her Abiquiu, NM studio/home.

Her innate talent to visually communicate her love of the regenerative power of nature calls the viewer to look past the veils of everyday life. When she is painting her focus is this deep relationship with Mother Earth, the ancestor of us all. Her paintings speak of a world beyond technology. They ask the viewer to breathe, to remember, to return to their roots, and to feel their connection to all that is.
