Kento Hladilek
Artist Bio
I'm Kento Hladilek. I am originally from Nagoya City, Japan, but when I was 12, I moved to Burbank, CA, to immerse myself in learning English and possibly finding my creative path in Los Angeles.
My artistic roots actually trace back to kindergarten, where I rhythmically sketched a still life of Bongo drums. Back then, the thought of becoming an artist didn't cross my mind. But life had other plans, and during my community college years, I crossed paths with some art professors who made a living selling their art. That's when I began pondering, could I follow in their footsteps?
I realized that my diverse interests, from collecting beetles (colors) to exploring astrophysics (space) to rhythms of Jazz music (sound), could all be transformed into art that would connect with people.
Now, I'm looking forward with a clear vision. I want to share my art with a broader audience by curating a solo exhibition, featuring larger-than-life paintings spanning 6 to 8 feet. I represent the new generation of artists, eager to bring my unique blend of influences to the world. Together, we can take my artistic journey to new heights and make a lasting impact on the art scene.
