Paul Ivanushka

Artist Bio

Paul Ivanushka (b. 1950, Highland, NY) is a fine art photographer currently enjoying the challenges of macro photography using native desert wildflowers as models.

After studying at the Brooks Institute of Photography Paul spent most of his career in the printing industry learning and managing tone reproduction on high-speed web offset presses.

Paul is a retired Software Business Analyst and currently resides in Yucca Valley, California. His focus now is to create images of the California desert that are related to contemporary photography.

Paul has received numerous awards which include:
• "14th Annual National Alternative Processes Competition Exhibition", Juror Dan Burkholder, SoHo Photo Gallery, New York, NY, 2nd Place Award
• "Urban Landscapes, Suburban Scenes, Rural Impressions 2018 Call for Entry", Juror Kay Kenny, New York Center for Photographic Art, NY, Honorable Mention

• “2011 Equine Photographers International Juried Show”, Honorable Mention

Paul’s work has been exhibited throughout the country, including the: Joshua Tree National Park Art Expo 2022 and 2023, South East Center for Photography, SoHo Photo Gallery in New York, Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, Davis Orton Gallery, Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, South East Center for Photography in Greenville South Carolina; Los Angeles Art Core, The Los Angeles Center of Photography, Gallery 825 and the Topanga Canyon, DNJ and Tag galleries in the Los Angeles area; the Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon, Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, VT and the Santa Cruz Art League.
